Hello everyone!

I would love you all to see these pictures. My wonderful friend Uli at Uliunique GIFTED me this incredible sign for my sound therapy sessions.

She purchased the wood, the lights and put in the work to make this for me and asked for nothing in return!

I want to say a massive thank you to Uli for doing this for me. What a wonderful gift! I'm in shock at your generosity!

It also gives me an opportunity to thank another wonderful friend of mine Laura Hannon who designed the logo for me.

Laura has been an incredible support to me in getting Soft Waves off the ground and with many other projects that I've been involved in too. So I want to give a massive thank you to Laura aswell!!

Had a great sound therapy session in the Crocus Centre in Monaghan today! It's a lovely environment for sound therapy and the staff are very friendly! :)

Thank you to the Huntington's Disease Association Northern Ireland for inviting me to do a sound therapy session yesterday in The Armagh City Hotel.

🧘🏻‍♂️ Sound and music has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. But it wasn’t until I was India last year that I had my first sound bath experience.

It was a one on one session with Tibetan singing bowls with (Singing bowl therapy dates back to the 12th century and has been used for meditation and rituals in Tibetan culture) and really opened my mind to this new dimension of the power of sound.

I became instantly fascinated and got to go a little deeper while on a sound healing trek with the lovely Ajay in Nepal.

I find the history of Tibetan singing bowls interesting, and it seems these healing modalities are now in a sort of renaissance.

Many ancient civilizations and modern indigenous cultures have used sound to heal and access higher levels of consciousness for thousands of years.

From the use of mantras (Chanting, toning and overtone singing are some of the most powerful methods for resonating sound throughout the body) to Pythagoras' use of interval and frequency and ancient Greece, when music was used in an attempt to cure mental disorders.
These various techniques all have the same intention: to move us from a place of imbalance to a place of balance.

Sound helps to facilitate shifts in our brainwave state by using entrainment. Entrainment synchronises our fluctuating brainwaves by providing a stable frequency which the brainwave can attune to.
This same concept is utilised in meditation by regulating the breath, but with sound it's the frequency that is the agent which influences the shift.
