Hi, Iโm Gillian ๐
And Iโm not someone whoโs always had it โfigured outโโฆ not even close.
I first walked into Slimming World 15 years ago, feeling exactly like so many people doโฆ fed up, uncomfortable, and just wanting to feel like myself again.
Over time, I went on to lose 8 stone 6lb ๐คฏ
But hereโs the honest partโฆ
Life didnโt stop there.
Three kids later, real life, stress, busy days, emotional eating, putting everyone else firstโฆ Iโve lived it all. And I still do.
Because Iโm still a member.
Still learning.
Still growing.
Still working on myself.
Right now, Iโve about 1.5 stone to go to get back to my targetโฆ
And Iโve lost nearly 3 stone in the last 7 months ๐ช
Not perfectly.
Not effortlessly.
But consistently.
And I think thatโs the bit people donโt always say out loudโฆ
๐ Changing habits is hard
๐ Putting yourself first can feel uncomfortable
๐ Staying consistent when life is chaotic takes real strength
Some days youโre flying it
Some days youโre just trying not to give up
And both of those days count.
Thatโs why I do what I do.
Because I donโt stand at the front of the room as someone whoโs โdoneโโฆ
I stand there as someone who gets it.
The battles in your head
The โIโll start Mondayโ chats with yourself
The guilt, the frustration, the starting over again
Iโve been there. I am there sometimes.
But I also know thisโฆ
โจ You donโt need to be perfect to get results
โจ You donโt need to wait for the โright timeโ
โจ You just need to keep showing up
And you donโt have to do it on your own.
