Delighted to have participated at the American College of Lifestyle Medicine Conference recently in Dallas, Texas.
It was wonderful to meet many medical colleagues from around the world, who are doing their best to make positive lifestyle changes an easier and more sustainable choice for individuals, and communities.
It was great to learn about new innovations in whole-person health and βlifestyle medicineβ. How an interconnected approach to health and wellbeing can pay lasting dividends in terms of disease prevention and optimising healthspan.
It was inspiring to meet Dr. Dean Ornish again who has shown how heart disease and type 2 diabetes can be successfully treated (and sometimes reversed) through intensive lifestyle changes. On this occasion, learning more about his recent work highlighting how intensive lifestyle changes over as little as 20 weeks can improve symptoms in patients with diagnosed dementia.
