Keep your feet warm, dry and moisturized ๐ฃ
- Maintain good foot hygiene by washing your feet, drying thoroughly (between your toes), and applying a moisturizer to prevent cracked heels and infection.
- Increase circulation to your feet by staying active and elevating your feet at the end of a long day.
- If wearing boots, leave enough room for moisture-wicking socks that won't restrict blood flow and don't tie your laces too tightly.
- Don't warm your feet on a radiator or in hot water after a cold day as this can cause chilblains (small itchy swellings). Warm your feet slowly or naturally.
- It's easy to forget about your toenails when your feet are hidden all day. Toenails should be trimmed straight across and sharp edges filed to avoid ingrown toenails.
