Not just because of the kind words about the space, the heat, or the cold. But because of the person behind the welcome.

Andrea, this is exactly who you are. Calm, present, and genuinely caring with every person who walks through our gate. You make people feel seen. You make them feel safe. And you make them feel like they belong here.

What makes me proudest though is this. This was Andrea but It could have been Lorraine. James. Jack. Conor. Jayne…Any of our crew.

Because this is who we are.

We don’t hire for experience alone. We hire for character. For warmth. For empathy. For people who understand that someone walking in might be nervous, unsure, or carrying more than they show. And that a simple welcome can change their whole day.

This feedback epitomises everything Sauna Social stands for.

Community and connection . But most importantly, people.

Grateful every day for the team we’ve built and the community that continues to grow around it.

Tonight is a big one.

We want to wish our very own Solomon Simon the very best of luck in his world title defence at Cage Warriors 200.

The whole of Waterford is behind you, and all of us at Sauna Social could not be prouder to be even a small part of your journey. Watching what you’ve built through hard work, discipline and heart has been unreal, and we are all backing you tonight.

We are fully confident you are holding onto that belt and continuing the rise.

First timer at Sauna Social?

One thing you can always be sure of in Ireland is that the rain is never far away.

For years, when it arrived, it meant plans changed, evenings got written off, and we just waited it out. But that’s shifting. A real sauna culture is growing here and it’s giving us something better to do with the weather instead of fighting it.

Hot sauna. Cold plunge. Good chats. Same routine, whatever’s coming down outside. And honestly, the rain adds to it. You hear it on the roof, you see it on the sign, you feel that contrast when you step out and reset. It turns the whole place into an atmosphere.

If you’ve only done Sauna Social on a dry day, try it in the rain. It hits different.

Same faces, same nods at reception, the little “see you next week” chats on the bench.

That is the bit we did not expect to love as much as we do.

We ran a few quick polls recently and it is clear a lot of you are staying consistent with your New Year habits. Properly consistent.

So we wanted to do something simple to back that up and make it a little more accessible for the people who are showing up.

We are only keeping it live for a couple of days because it is genuinely great value and we do not want it running long enough that it gets out of hand.

It will be taken down on Tuesday 2nd February.

Team night out, and this crew fully deserved it.

People still don’t believe we’re only 4 months open.

The truth is, that’s down to the team. From day one we’ve had great people with the right energy. The kind that show up, work hard, look after customers, and look after each other.

And everyone who’s come in along the way has added to it. More experience, more confidence, more calm, and a higher bar across the board.

LOST & FOUND POLICY UPDATE

We love returning things to their rightful owners. Since opening, we have kept every single lost item safe.

But the pile is now officially out of control. Sliders, hoodies, swimsuits, water bottles, towels. It is becoming a full-time side job.

So from today we are introducing a 14 day Lost & Found policy.

If you think you left something behind, send us a DM with:
1. a description of the item
2. the date you visited
3. your name and a contact number

We will check straight away and do our best to reunite you.

After 14 days, unclaimed items will be dropped to a local charity shop or a recycling centre (depending on the item).

Thanks for helping us keep the place running smoothly.
