How Sound Therapy Can Support You Even After Years of Stress
When life feels like it’s too busy with constant demands—family, work, responsibilities—it’s easy to put your own wellbeing last.
Over time, this can lead to a sense of being drained, and the inability to truly relax; even when opportunities arise for rest.
Through sound therapy, deep relaxation becomes possible. The sounds I play for you in a 1-1 session create vibrations which have a grounding and calming effect, helping the body and mind to slow down. This will feel both comforting and relaxing. (If you don’t already know about grounding, ask me about it - what it is and what it does for you).
If you’re enjoying this content and you would like to experience a 1-1 sound therapy session with me, send me a message to arrange a time.
One of the things I love about working 1-1 with clients (especially women over the age of 40 who are keeping “the whole ship afloat”) is when I see their body physically relax while they listen to the sounds played in their Sound Therapy session. As they lie in my big softly upholstered recliner chair, their shoulders drop, their facial muscles soften, their head may lean to the side a little as their mouth relaxes - I can now recognize someone who is experiencing Alpha brainwave patterns - which is our brainwave pattern when we are halfway between being awake and asleep. It’s such a lovely place to be.
Many who experience sound therapy report noticeable shifts—improved sleep, a greater ability to set boundaries, and a renewed sense of clarity. They begin prioritizing their well-being without guilt, making choices that align with their needs rather than always putting others first.
As the American sociologist and life coach Martha Beck emphatically says; children don’t grow up treating themselves the way their parents treated them; they mirror the way they saw their parents treat themselves.
Prioritizing self-care isn’t just about personal healing—it sets an example for the next generation.
Sound therapy is more than just relaxation; it’s a pathway to reconnecting with yourself and finally being able to smell the coffee without feeling the need to tidy the kitchen at the same time. Ready to take the first step?
