Do you know how to use an EpiPen??

Such important information here from Zoe Stuart…

“This is my EpiPen, one day it might save my life but it's likely that I won't even be the one to administer it, which means I'm relying on one of you lot to stop me from dying ✌️ So I thought I'd make a post on how this bad boy works and hopefully if you happen to see me or anyone in need, you'll be able to be help out.

Step one: Take the blue safety cap off but keep it up right (keep the blue cap end pointed up to the blue sky is how I remember it)

Step two: Hold the pen about 10cm(ish) away from my thigh (either thigh will do) keeping the orange part facing towards me, DO NOT LET YOUR HANDS OR FINGERS GO ANYWHERE NEAR THE ORANGE END!

Step three: Jab that sucker right in my thigh! Hold it there for ten seconds!
The orange safety piece will retract when you hit my leg, if you did it right you will hear it making a clicking sound! The needle will automatically pop out and deliver some life saving adrenaline. Remember though HOLD FOR 10 SECONDS for all of it to be delivered into me.

Step four: Dial 999, ask for an ambulance! Remember to say the word 'anaphylaxis' they'll know what it means.

And that's it, you just saved a life, you little hero!

It's really simple and it probably doesn't need a post as it's all written down on the side of the pen, but if one person gets use out of this then it was worth it!

Our Adult Ladies will take to Echelon Park, Aughrim on Sunday where they welcome Louth to battle it out for the Leinster Junior title 🏆

⏰ This game will throw in at 12pm
