The Installation Ceremony of the new Executive Body of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), Agra Branch for the year 2026 was held with great enthusiasm and dignity on 12th February 2026 at Hotel Holiday Inn, Agra.

The ceremony marked the formal induction of the newly elected office bearers who pledged to work dedicatedly for child health, academic excellence, and community welfare in the region.

The newly installed team for 2026 includes:

The Chief Guest Dr N C Prajapati and esteemed dignitaries Dr R N Dwivedi,Dr Pradeep Chawla,Dr Rakesh Bhatia,Dr Anil Agrawal,Dr Rajeev Krishak,Dr R N Sharma, Dr Amarkant highlighted the vital role of pediatricians in strengthening child healthcare services and emphasized the need for continued academic activities, awareness programs, and public health initiatives.Dr.Ramksh*tij was the master of ceremony.
During the ceremony, the vision for 2026 was unveiled, focusing on Strengthening academic CMEs and workshops and Promoting preventive pediatrics.

The Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), Agra Branch, in collaboration with the Rotary Club Royal, successfully organized a CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Workshop at the Khelgaon Sports Complex, Agra on 28 December 2025.
The workshop aimed to create awareness and impart life-saving skills essential for handling medical emergencies.
The training session focused on hands-on demonstration and practical learning of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support techniques, enabling participants to respond effectively during cardiac arrest and other emergency situations.
Experienced trainers from IAP Agra President Dr Sanjeev Agarwal,Secretary Dr Rahul Pengoria and Treasurer Dr Swati Dwivedi conducted the workshop, highlighting the importance of early intervention in saving lives.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the organizers, trainers, and Khelgaon Sports Complex authorities for their support and cooperation.

The Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Agra Branch, successfully organized a Workshop on Respiratory Tract Infections (RTI GEM)at Hotel Bhawna Clarks Inn,Agra on 28/09/2025.
The program was attended by a large number of pediatricians,postgraduate students, and healthcare professionals from the region.

The workshop focused on the latest updates in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of respiratory tract infections, which remain one of the most common causes of illness in children.
Expert faculty Dr G S Chaudhary from Jhansi,Dr Sanjeev Kumar for Aligarh and Dr Vineet Tyagi from Noida delivered interactive sessions covering various respiratory illnesses,rational use of antibiotics, recognition of severe cases, vaccination strategies, and preventive care.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr.Sanjeev Agarwal,President of IAP Agra, emphasized the importance of evidence-based management to reduce complications and resistance due to irrational drug use. Dr.Rahul Pengoria,Secretary of IAP Agra, highlighted the need for continuous medical education to keep practitioners updated with global guidelines.The program was coordinated by Dr Swati Dwivedi,Treasurer IAP Agra.
The workshop was well appreciated for its practical demonstrations, case discussions, and interactive Q&A sessions, which provided valuable insights to participants.
The IAP Agra Branch reaffirmed its commitment to conducting such academic activities regularly to enhance pediatric healthcare and awareness in the community.

A Public awareness program on the occasion of ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution) Day was organised on 29 July 2025 at Department of Pediatrics,ASMC,Firozabad.Principal Dr Yogesh Goyal,Dr L K Gupta & Dr Avnish Kumar raised awareness about the prevention and management of dehydration caused by diarrhea, particularly in children. The event focused on promoting the use of ORS as an effective, low-cost treatment to save lives. The program was coordinated by Secretary IAP Agra Dr Rahul Pengoria and was attended by 200+ patients and attendants.

*IAP BLS/CPR Public Awareness Activity* was organised on 22 July 2025 at 12 PM in the OPD Complex of Autonomous State Medical College, Firozabad. The general public was sensitised with the basic yet crucial knowledge about CPR and hand on experience was given. The initiative received an enthusiastic response from people of all ages with more than 100 attendees , highlighting the going community interest in health and safety preparedness.

*IAP CPR WEEK CELEBRATION*
To raise awareness about life-saving emergency response, another CPR training session was conducted today (20/7/25 7.30 AM) at Shivam Park B Block Road Kamla Agra under the aegis of IAP AGRA, the event aimed to equip the general public with basic yet crucial knowledge and hands-on experience of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). It was attended by about 50 local residents Local corporator and doctors.
Dr Sunil Agarwal and Dr Arun Prakash Gupta were facilitators.
