We, at Biking It To Create Happiness recently rode to the Mecca for Bikers - Leh Ladakh. For us and the others we rode with, this has been an experience of a lifetime! The journey got us to connect with people, nature, ourselves... Swapnil from Hindustan Motorcycling Company said: Go Humble, Come Wise. And that thought resonates the most!

On a chilly morning of December 18, we at Biking It To Create Happiness gathered at Kamat Upachar at Dobbaspet to set up the venue for our most awaited 2nd anniversary celebration: Vibhaya - Respond. Revive. Rejoice

The clock ticked fast and with the same speed we set up the place to welcome over 200 bikers who were about to join us for a session on Emergency Response Preparedness by Dr. Mukul Saxena

35 kilometers before Kamat Upachar were 2 of us letting groups of bikers leave in 5 minute intervals

The first group of superbikers from BEST arrived... promptly parked their bikes in the designated parking area. They were followed by bikers from Race Sport Falcons, Batallion Bikers, Team Top Enders, Biking Buddies, Bangalore Karizma Biking Club, Bangalore Bullet Club, Bajaj Avenger Club, RX Owners Club, I Ride Safe and Bikers United India... and finally... B.I.T.C.H

Registrations were in full swing with 2 distinct rows for Throttle Registrations and non Throttle registrations. Breakfast was organized for hungry bellies and while some downed the masala dosas and idlis, the others networked with fellow riders.

It was then time for the much awaited session on Emergency Response Preparedness. Dr. Mukul Saxena educated the biking fraternity on how we can make a difference to not just lives of affected victims, but the souls of those who are closely associated.

His talk was followed by a quick relevant speech on the Good Samaritan Law by Sr. Inspector of Traffic Police - G Ramesh.

We also had stalwarts and world record holders - Esha Gupta, Deepak Kamath and Balaji Mohan share their pearls of wisdom and experience on how we as bikers need to be watchful and prepared for emergencies - not only faced by other road users, but when we ride too.

The fun elements included lucky draw prizes by Police99.com & 100th and 150th registration awards by Throttle

For us at B.I.T.C.H, this event has been successful ONLY and ONLY because of the support received from all the bikers and all those who supported us through the 2 rigorous months of preparation. The Wicked Side of Wicked Ride Wicked Ride - Luxury Bike Rentals

Earlier this month when we were working on making a grand event for the community, we approached Wicked Ride - Luxury Bike Rentals to see if they would like to associate themselves with Vibhaya - given that the target audience was one they would like to reach out to as well. They expressed interest and said that they would like to handle the online registrations. Since Throttle - our concept partner had already agreed to manage registrations for , we communicated to the decision makers at Wicked Ride that we would not want to disassociate ourselves from our concept partners, and that we would be happy if Wicked Ride would like to associate with in any other way. At first, they tried to persuade us to have them manage the online registrations and actually said that we should consider dropping our committed association with Throttle! When we emphasised that we wouldn't do so, they said they would get back to us. Weeks went by and we didn't hear from them.We obviously assumed that they weren't interested.

They had the bloody cheek, and how! They actually gate crashed into our event!
18th December 2016, when the venue was being set up for , 2 young lads walked in and introduced themselves as representatives from Wicked Ride - Luxury Bike Rentals. They were surprisingly early for a Sunday morning, and moreover, what intrigued us was that they didn't come with the riders from the riding start point. After hanging around for a while, they approached us and said that they wanted to place the Wicked Ride - Luxury Bike Rentals brochures on our registration desk. We politely declined their request and told them that they could wait till the event gets over and then distribute their brochures to anyone who stayed back. Later, they slyly asked one of our other group members if they could put up their banner! When we refused to let them do any of that, they went up to the parking lot, which obviously didn't have any of the B.I.T.C.H members present there, and quietly left their brochures and stickers on each of the 117 bikes standing there!

Wicked Ride - Luxury Bike Rentals you have had the audacity to gate crash into an event YOU decided not to associate yourself with when your terms weren't agreed upon. It's rather sad to see that an organization like yours - that is associated with the motorbiking community behaves in such an unprofessional manner. We, the biking community - who believe in transparency and ethics are shocked to know that there are folks like you who exist too!

The focus is on creating awareness relating to emergency response, more specifically to accidents occurring on the road. Quick tips on how to respond to a situation as a non medico, how can one help save lives and also be aware of life saving tips. With a live demo on performing CPR!

It's a big big day for our club "Biking It To Create Happines" aka B.I.T.C.H tomorrow. We're celebrating our 2nd anniversary through "Vibhaya" - a ride for the our fellow bikers followed by a session on Emergency Response Preparedness - for the bikers and for all road users. To all my friends here in Bangalore, please do join us and help spread the word that even if one isn't a medico, we can still save lives.
For bikers - the ride starts at Parle G toll Nelamangala at 6.45 a.m. You could either ride with us and register at the venue, OR pre register on Throttle Biking (available on Android and iOs)
For Non - Bikers - the event commences at 8.30 a.m at Reliance - Kamat Upachar, Dobbaspet
