World Bed wetting day is Observed to raise awareness regarding bed wetting in children which was earlier considered benign and self limiting.

Upto 10% of children above age of 5 years wet their bed and if left untreated can persist into Adulthood.

It has high impact on child’s mental health including low self esteem, depression.

It is a medical condition that needs to be timely addressed and treated.

It is caused by multiple factors including over production of urine at night , reduced bladder capacity or inability to wake up.

So if your child aged 5 years or older suffers from bed wetting (enuresis), it Time to Take Action!

This year the theme is Measure Your Blood Pressure Accurately, Control It, Live Longer.

Renovascular causes account for 80% of the cases of hypertension in children and adolescents.

As per American Academy of Pediatrics , Blood Pressure should be measured annually for all children above 3 years of age .

And for those who are high risk , measured at every healthcare visit .
