*After Donating Your Blood - Don’t Just Walk Away*

Donating blood is a selfless act and is a cause to feel good about yourself. You are definitely benefiting someone else’s life. But here is a tip - Please don’t think that your responsibility has ended after you have donated blood. There is still some self-care to be adhered to. It is in your own self-interest. Here is what you should do:

You should also call the center if you:

● Continue to feel nauseated, lightheaded or dizzy after resting, eating and drinking.
● Notice a raised bump, continued bleeding or pain at the needle-stick site when you remove the bandage.
● Feel pain or tingling down your arm, into your fingers.
● Become ill with signs and symptoms of a cold or flu, such as fever, headache or sore throat, within four days after your blood donation. Bacterial infections can be transmitted by your blood to another person via transfusion, so it's important to let the blood donor center know if you become ill so that your blood won't be used.

So yeah, although blood donation is a simple and easy thing, it does require a bit of self-control and self-care on our part to be a responsible blood donor. We don’t want to donate blood once in our lifetime, do we?

*Blood Donation Process*

A lot of people are afraid of donating blood because they are scared of the mystery. They are scared of needles and they are scared of what they don’t know. So let us today reveal the secret to how the blood donation process works.
Once you walk into a blood donation center here is what happens:

1. Skin is cleaned and the device is placed on your arm
2. 10 mins of actual blood donation exercise while you rest
3. Painless process, after which you are discharged.

Are you ready?
