We had a great opportunity to team up with CWDC department of Government BBA college, Ahmedabad.
We spoke about AI and Social media and impact on women's physical, emotional and sexual health. We also tapped in on some possible solutions. and had a great interactive session with the young women students there.
It shows how aware our young generation women are about themselves and how they will never hesitate to screen for their mental health issues if required.
More power to these wonderful women

Internet addiction is increasing by leaps and bounds in today's world. one of the modern day challenges of parenting and mental health profession is excessive use of gadgets and excessive screen time.
it starts as a choice but slowly transactions into a problem that no longer remains within the realms of your conscious choice. it hijacks the brain and the neurological system into a never ending cycle of dopamine chase that mimics substance abuse.

Many a times you hear patients who say they want to
* never feel stressed
* always be happy
* never feel depressed
* be anger free
But did you know that emotions arise out of a biological process and are a part of a healthy functional brain. Only when your expression or experience of these emotions is problematic can they create a health issue (not just at a mental level but also physical level).
The so called negative emotions are not negative. they are protective......they were designed by the limbic system in order to increase chances of survival.
So next time you visit your psychiatrist and psychotherapist, please have a healthier goal from your consultation. Your mental health professional can help you with understanding, expressing and facilitating all the emotions that you may consider "negative".
