17/10/2025

Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is defined as the involuntary leakage of urine during moments of increased intra-abdominal pressure — for example, when coughing, sneezing, laughing, or lifting heavy objects. It is a common problem in women and significantly affects quality of life.
https://pandithospital.co.in/stress-urinary-incontinence-laparoscopic-burch-colposuspension-ahilyanagar/
In women, SUI commonly arises due to urethral hypermobility (insufficient support to the bladder neck/urethra) or intrinsic sphincter deficiency (weakness of the urethral sphincter).

When SUI is addressed from a gynecologic perspective, it’s crucial to consider pelvic support, vaginal anatomy, coexisting pelvic organ prolapse, and any prior surgeries.

Keyhole stories by Dr. Hrishikesh Pandit : unlocking endoscopic techniques.

Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (TLH) performed for a large fibroid uterus — 28–30 weeks size, weighing nearly 2 kg, removed safely using morcellation technique.
Minimally invasive surgery, maximum patient comfort.
P.s. check - port positions at the end.

An unforgettable experience at ENDO ROBO GYNE 2025, Agra (4th–5th October) ✨

Honoured to be invited as Operating Faculty at this prestigious national conference, where I had the privilege to operate a total of 3 live cases:

🔹 Two Burch Colposuspension procedures for stress urinary incontinence — showcasing advanced laparoscopic techniques for pelvic floor repair.
🔹 One Heterotopic Pregnancy – a rare and challenging case, managed laparoscopically with precision and care.

Additionally, I had the opportunity to share a lecture and surgical insights on the management of Vesico-Vaginal Fistula (VVF) and Uretero-Vaginal Fistula, focusing on advanced laparoscopic and reconstructive techniques.

The academic exchange and live demonstrations were truly enriching and well appreciated by fellow surgeons and delegates.

A special thanks to Dr. Amit Tandon, the UP Chapter of IAGE, and Central IAGE for this outstanding platform and seamless organization.

It was also a moment of pride and amazement to witness tele-robotic surgery for the first time, where a surgeon from Bhopal operated on a patient in Agra via robotic console — a true milestone in the evolution of gynec endoscopy!

Grateful for this experience, learning, and the camaraderie shared with colleagues from across India.
