Ps. It's possible to get thinner without actually seeing much difference in your weight. This happens when you lose body fat while gaining muscle. One reason you shouldn't rely much on the normal weighing scale is that it doesn't measure your body composition, or the ratio of muscle to fat that you have on your body.

They contain phytic acid, which impairs the absorption of iron, zinc and calcium and may promote mineral deficiencies. Soaking reduces the amount of phytic acid, which then allows our bodies to better absorb nutrients.

Bottom Line:
BMI may be more useful at predicting future rather than current health. Those who are healthy and overweight or obese are more likely to develop diabetes or other negative health consequences over time. Measurements that are more accurate than BMI at predicting health outcomes include fat percentage, blood pressure, waist circumference, and cholesterol levels, etc.
