Himalyan Agro Products and Solutions is an Indian registered farmer owned company, with its central office in Delhi and Uttarakhand. Himalyan Agro has the sole purpose of providing marketing support to small and marginalised farmers, producers, start-ups of the Hilly Area of Uttarakhand.
Himalyan Agro searches for market access mainly in Uttarakhand and our founding principles rest on Fair-Trade and we work on converting farm production to organic standards as well. Our vision and mission strategy is to work the upliftment of our farmers, start-ups etc in the hilly area of Uttarakhand so that together we can engage in good quality and zero polluted product and become market leaders in our field, marked by outstanding innovative products and production methods.
The Job
Himalyan Agro is active in a marketing support to farmers, start-ups etc in the hilly area of Uttarakhand.
The GM will manage this entire operations and marketing strategy of Himalyan Agro in Uttarakhand and other states. His objectives will be to execute the organisation strategy and objectives, the business planning in time to start running the operations. The GM must rapidly turn the Himalyan Agro business unit into an operation by building the team on ground. Together with field staff of our affiliated NGO, farmers, producers etc, the GM will develop production and harvesting and processing programs, which will smoothen the operation of the business unit’s transactions with the farmers. The GM will also be provided with the needed staff under his direct supervision, to effectively manage his work.
Once the business unit has been streamlined, the GM will have the freedom to develop up-scaling plans. In terms of marketing, the main outlets for will be created through Himalyan Agro at various location in Uttarakhand and other states including Delhi NCR. The GM’s main focus should be to set up the organisation structure and efficiently running Himalyan Agro protecting our farmers, producers, start-ups as much as possible.
The Profile
Academic degree in agribusiness management (MBA), with experience in quality control, logistics and supply chain management. Working knowledge on agricultural products, organic production and processing is also required. Must have prior experience in business development and marketing sales or multi commodity trading business like Agriculture Allied Products Such as Spices, Dry Fruits, Fruits Vegetables, Cereals and Pulses. For product and operations development, a fresh entrepreneurial mind is required, and an attitude to never give up. For consolidation of the efforts in current operations, leadership, strong analytical skills, visionary team building, and an instinct for efficiency gains are a must. Lastly we demand an excellent proficiency in English , Hindi in combination with excellent communication and presentation skills.
The Remuneration
We expect to get the best, so we need to pay the best. Salary is negotiable, but upfront we can say that it will meet the standards for this challenging job.
