International Tiger Day has been created so that people around the world can raise awareness for tiger conservation. The aim of the day is to help promote a worldwide system whereby we are dedicated to protecting tigers and their natural habitats.

We can also use this day to support tiger conservation issues and to raise awareness. After all, when more people are aware of something, they are going to be more inclined to help, and that is why this day is so important.

26 जुलाई 1999 के दिन भारतीय सेना ने कारगिल युद्ध के दौरान चलाए गए ‘ऑपरेशन विजय’ को सफलतापूर्वक अंजाम देकर भारत भूमि को घुसपैठियों के चंगुल से मुक्त कराया था। इसी की याद में हर साल 26 जुलाई को कारगिल दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। यह दिवस उन शहीदों की याद में मनाया जाता है जो हँसते-हँसते मातृभूमि की रक्षा के लिए वीरगति को प्राप्त हुए।

आज देशभर में गुरु पूर्णिमा का पावन पर्व मनाया जा रहा है। गुरु पूर्णिमा को आषाढ़ी पूर्णिमा के नाम से भी जाना जाता है क्योंकि यह आषाढ़ मास की पूर्णिमा तिथि को होता है। आज के दिन लोग मंदिरों में देवों के गुरु बृहस्पति और भगवान विष्णु की आराधना करते हैं। वेदों का ज्ञान देने वाले और पुराणों के रचनाकार महर्षि वेद व्यास जी का जन्मदिन इस तिथि को ही पड़ता है। मानव जाति के कल्याण और ज्ञान के लिए उनके योगदान को देखते हुए उनकी जयंती को गुरु पूर्णिमा के रुप में मनाते हैं। गुरु पूर्णिमा को व्यास जयंंती के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। गुरु पूर्णिमा के दिन गुरुजनों की पूजा की जाती है, जीवन को एक नई दिशा देने के लिए उनका आभार प्रकट करते हैं और उनके स्वस्थ एवं सुखद जीवन की कामना करते हैं। इस गुरु पूर्णिमा पर आप भी अपने गुरुजनों को शुभकामना एवं बधाई संदेश भेजकर उनका आशीर्वाद ले सकते हैं और आभार प्रकट कर सकते हैं। तो फिर देर किस बात की है, आप भी अपने प्रियजनों को ये मैसेज भेजें।v

Also known as the ‘Feast of Sacrifice’, Eid al-Adha or Bakrid is one of the biggest religious festivals for Muslims worldwide. The festival marks the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son in order to prove his obedience to Allah. Also referred to as Eid Qurban or Qurban Bayarami, it is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah in the Islamic calendar. This year, Eid al-Adha’s festivities will begin on the evening of Tuesday, July 20, and go on till the evening of Wednesday, July 21 in India.v
