Long time ago, the answer to all stomach woes was a ripe banana, once a day. The banana still helps as it has certain qualities that combat heart burn and acidity, so pick one if you are struck by the heartburn bug.

Space out the food and the sleep timings. Never retire to bed immediately after eating food.
To avoid acid reflex make sure you sleep on a raised pillow.
