A delegation of eight Vietnamese scientists visited the Centre of Experimental Medicine and Surgery (CEMS), IMS-BHU, where they interacted with faculty, research scholars, students, and staff, and explored advanced facilities in nanobiotechnology, molecular oncology, drug delivery, proteomics, immunology, and phytomedicine. They also reviewed the animal research facilities, imaging infrastructure, and specialized laboratories, gaining valuable insights into the diverse research activities at BHU.
The delegates met Prof. S.N. Sankhwar, Director, IMS-BHU, and discussed the institute’s ongoing research programs and infrastructural strengths. They further explored the International Centre of BHU, Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL), Central Discovery Centre, and SATHI-BHU, where cutting-edge scientific instruments and projects were showcased.
Discussions focused on future collaborations, student exchanges under the ASEAN Fellowship Program, and formalizing partnerships through MoUs between BHU and Vietnamese national universities. The visit underscored CEMS as a key hub for international academic and research partnerships at IMS-BHU.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Vibhav Gautam, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh, and Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta (Professor In-Charge, CEMS), with valuable support from Prof. Akhilesh Kumar Singh.
