We’ve been waiting all summer but it’s finally here!!! Champion of the Year season is back!!!! Best Buddies champion of the year is a competitive fundraising campaign that unites and recognizes leaders of inclusion here in Palm Beach County. These 10 champions have committed to raising funds and awareness for Best Buddies throughout the next nine weeks. Our champions advocate for the Best Buddies mission and will generate countless opportunities for friendships, jobs, leadership development, inclusive, living, and family support all in the name of making someone else’s life better right here at home.

I couldn’t be more proud of or excited for this group of go-getters, and am truly humbled by what they’ve already accomplished. They met their mission partners and in one night built connection, showed their best dance moves and began raising money.

I love this organization so much. It has given me new friends (see how tight my man is squeezing me?! 🤗), better connections with old friends, something to work on that’s outside of my daily life of raising my babies, and it’s also given us something to support and do together as a family. I am so thankful.

Thank you to our presenting and signature sponsors, Fiserv and The Breakers. They are paving the way for what corporations can do to support inclusion. Also a big thank you to PGA resort for hosting our kickoff once again. You always bring the best for us.

On Friday I got to play mini golf with my buddy to hang out after the summer. We had a blast, caught up and each got a hole in one. Later that day I picked up Lily from school and the first thing she said when she saw me was “Mom, Best Buddies shirt!” I’m so happy that this gal of already recognizes that the commitment to this organization is important to our family. When you join you gain a whole group of new friends, help to make our world a little bit better and most importantly show the next generation that inclusion and kindness rule.

We’re about to kickoff our Champion of the Year competition this week and I’m PUMPED. This group of Champions means business and I can’t wait to see what they accomplish with their mission partners. Our GALA-xy is November 7 at the Kravis Center, and I hope many of you can join us! Every dollar raised from this fundraiser goes directly toward supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through our friendship, leadership, and employment programs right here in Palm Beach County. 💜

Best Buddies is changing lives by creating friendships, jobs, and leadership opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Outside of raising my own children, being a part of this incredible organization is my favorite thing in my life.

Making the mundane magical 💫 at GSS today for SPRING Hot Lunch. We took spring in a new direction and the looks on the kids faces were worth every ounce of sweat that poured out of my body. I’m so thankful to be a part of a school that lets parents contribute in this way, and super thankful to have a friend like who will willingly and excitedly dance around in an inflatable 🐸 costume with me for two hours just to make our kids smile (or run away in embarrassment in her case since her kids are older).

In other news, if you’re looking for a quick way to shed 5-10 pounds of water weight, I have a frog suit you can borrow!!!!
