Children show us what pure courage and love look like.
Their laughter softens wounds we never speak of.
Let’s raise a generation that feels seen, loved, and supported.
May we always be the safe space where their dreams can grow.

Mental health is not a privilege. It’s a right.

Through this short video, our team at Ananya – A Foundation for Happiness echoes one voice — of empathy, awareness, and action.

Every year on Dusshera, we celebrate the victory of good over evil by burning the effigy of Ravan.
But what if we looked at Ravan a little differently this year?

Ravan’s ten heads don’t just belong to mythology.
In today’s world, they show up as:
Stress. Worry. Loneliness. Stigma. Expectations. Comparison. Perfectionism. Failure. Silence. Hopelessness.

These are the modern-day demons our children, colleagues, friends — even we ourselves — are battling quietly.
The battles are often invisible, but very, very real.

This Dusshera, can we make a promise?
Not just to light up the sky with fireworks, but to light up someone’s world with empathy.
Not just to burn effigies, but to burn the stigma around mental health.
Not just to celebrate Ram’s victory, but to stand by those fighting their inner wars.

Because sometimes, the bravest thing a person does is choose to keep going.
And sometimes, the kindest thing we can do is simply listen.

Here’s to celebrating Dusshera as not just a festival of triumph, but also of hope, compassion, and mental well-being.

At Ananya – A Foundation for Happiness (AFH), we are committed to creating spaces where conversations about mental health are welcomed, support is available, and hope is always nurtured.

Together, we can help more people overcome their inner demons and embrace joy.

“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes… including you.”

At Ananya – A Foundation for Happiness (AFH), we recently partnered with Concentrix, Bengaluru, to host a workshop on one of today’s most urgent workplace challenges: professional stress and burnout.

Burnout doesn’t just end at the office door — it seeps into personal lives, relationships, and overall well-being. What starts as “just being tired” can quickly evolve into emotional exhaustion, disengagement, and even physical health struggles.

Through Burn Bright, Not Out, we explored:
🔹 Recognizing the early warning signs of professional burnout.
🔹 Practical tools to manage stress and build balance.
🔹 How unchecked workplace pressure translates into personal struggles.
🔹 Creating cultures of empathy, resilience, and healthy boundaries.

The conversations were raw, honest, and filled with courage. Employees shared openly, and together we reflected on one truth: sustainable success is only possible when people thrive — not just survive.

A heartfelt thank you to Sumekha Nair and Concentrix team for their openness and commitment to change.

If your team is navigating stress and exhaustion, connect with us today! Together, we can build workplaces where happiness and performance go hand in hand.

Changing the Narrative on Su***de: Hope, Resilience, Action

At Ananya - A Foundation for Happiness (AFH), we believe real change begins when stories shift—from fear, shame, or silence toward understanding, compassion, and courageous conversation. The World Health Organization (WHO)’s “Changing the Narrative on Su***de” isn’t just words—it’s a mission we live out.

Recently, we had the honour of holding a session at INS Kattabomman on “Handling Unique Stressors – Building Mental Resilience.” We met individuals bearing weight that often goes unseen: pressure, separation, emotional strain. And what struck us most was how powerfully healing it is when someone listens without judgment, when we lean into vulnerability, and when we build trust.

Because su***de prevention isn’t only about crisis moments — it’s about creating environments where people feel safe to speak, to share what’s hard, and to know that they are not alone. This session reminded us how much hope emerges when courage meets connection.

To everyone at INS Kattabomman: thank you for your openness, your strength, and your humanity. Your stories matter. Your well-being matters.

If your organization is looking to build resilience and care in its community, reach out to us to schedule a session with Ananya Foundation. Let’s change the narrative together.

“It’s just work stress… I’ll be fine.”
We’ve all said it.
But too often, “fine” quietly turns into exhaustion, burnout, and a mind running on empty.

At Ananya – A Foundation for Happiness (AFH), we believe these conversations can’t wait until it’s too late.

We had the privilege of conducting a workshop at Exalogic Consulting on mental wellbeing, burnout, and stress.

It wasn’t just about tips and checklists — it was about pausing, reflecting, and creating space for real stories and honest dialogue.

We explored:
- How to recognise the early signs of burnout
- Why stress is not a personal failure
- Practical ways to nurture emotional resilience
- The role of workplaces in supporting mental health

What stood out most was the openness and empathy of the Exalogic team. It reaffirmed our mission — to create a stigma-free world where mental health is understood, supported, and protected.

Because a thriving workplace is built not only on performance, but on people who feel safe, valued, and cared for.

A heartfelt thank you to Meghana Mohan Das for coordinating and making this workshop possible.

My heart is still full from my recent session at Navy Children’s School, Mumbai, where I had the privilege of interacting with the spirited students of Grades 9 to 12.

Being with children always lights up something within me — their curiosity, honesty, and dreams are contagious.

This wasn’t just a session on mental health; it was a conversation about worth, hope, and courage — because every child deserves to hear - “You are precious.”

The presence of incredible leaders made this moment even more meaningful:

🎖️ Chief Guest CDR. Krishnamoorthy Adhikari
🎖️ Mrs. Malati Adhikari
🎖️ Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Nandana Khare
🎖️ Vice Principal Mrs. Laveti Shailaja
🎖️ CDR. Vanya Shyam
🎖️ SURG CDR. Sinalkar

Their encouragement and warmth reminded me how deeply our children benefit when leadership and care go hand in hand.

As I walked away, I carried more than just memories — I carried stories, smiles, strength, and a renewed purpose: To continue taking this message to every child, every classroom, every community — Mental health matters. Every life is precious.

If you’d like to host a mental wellness session that truly connects and creates change, let’s talk.

A Day to Remember at The Naval Command, Mumbai

I was deeply honoured to be invited by the Naval Command Office, Mumbai, for a mental health awareness session titled “You Are Precious”.

The event, beautifully coordinated by INHS Asvini under the aegis of Western Naval Command reached to over 800 service personnel and their families.

To be in the presence of those who dedicate their lives to serving our nation, and to speak with them about something as vital as mental well-being, was nothing short of humbling. I felt privileged, blessed, and deeply moved to be able to open conversations around emotional health in such a space of honour, discipline, and resilience.

The interaction was meaningfully moderated by Rear Admiral Krishnamoorthy Adhikari, whose immense experience as a paediatrician and unwavering commitment to adolescent mental health truly stood out.

A moment of immense pride was receiving a memento from Rear Admiral Anil Jaggi, Flag Officer, Maharashtra Naval Area. As I held it in my hands, my heart swelled with gratitude — for the recognition, for the opportunity, and for the trust placed in me to share this important message.

This experience will stay etched in my heart for a long time. I carry back with me stories, smiles, and strength — and a deeper commitment to continue spreading awareness that mental health matters, and every life is precious.
