Do babies need extra water in summer? 🤔💧

For breastfed babies under 6 months, the answer is usually no. Breastmilk already contains the hydration and nutrition your baby needs—even in hot weather. 🍼

Giving extra water too early can fill tiny tummies, reduce milk intake, and may not be ideal for developing kidneys.

✔️ Breastmilk = complete hydration.
✔️ Water is usually introduced after 6 months.
✔️ If you’re unsure, speak to your paediatrician.

We are proud to share the inspiring journey of 27-weeker twin baby boys who received dedicated care at Cloudnine Hospital, Panchkula - a story of resilience and exceptional teamwork.

Born extremely preterm to a primigravida mother with PPROM, both babies required immediate intensive support due to low APGAR scores and severe respiratory distress. Their condition was further complicated by fulminant sepsis with septic shock, requiring prolonged ventilator support, multiple transfusions, and advanced NICU care.

Twin 1 (900 gm) was on ventilator support for 7 days and showed steady recovery, reuniting with the mother within 45 days. Twin 2 (780 gm), who required CPR at birth and 30 days of ventilation, battled multiple complications including bronchopulmonary dysplasia, but gradually stabilised after 10 weeks of intensive care.

After 84 days in the NICU, both babies were discharged healthy - a remarkable outcome in such a complex case.

Under the guidance of Dr. Sahil Bansal and the dedicated NICU team, this journey stands as a testament to clinical excellence, parental trust, and the fighting spirit of these little warriors.

Many doctors suggest limiting salon visits as your baby’s organs are developing and more sensitive.
2. Basic services are usually safe
Haircuts and threading are fine.
3. Avoid chemical treatments
Hair colour, smoothening, etc.-strong fumes and chemicals can indirectly affect your baby in the womb.
4. Skin is more sensitive now
Always do a patch test.
5. Keep it short & ventilated
Choose a clean, well-ventilated place.
6. Check with your doctor if unsure

We are proud to share the heartwarming journey of a little one who received dedicated care at Cloudnine Hospitals, SB Road, Pune.

Arriving in the ninth month with IUGR concerns, the pregnancy needed close and careful monitoring. Under the expert care of Dr. Manjiri Kulkarni, the baby showed steady progress over four weeks, leading to a safe and successful normal delivery - a truly special moment for the family.

After birth, the baby was cared for in the NICU, where every step was guided with attention and compassion. From constant monitoring to timely feeding, the team ensured a smooth and gentle recovery under the guidance of Dr. Lalit Rawal.
What made this journey even more special was the warmth of the NICU nursing team, who cared for the baby like their own, lovingly calling her “Sonpari.”

Today, we celebrate not just a healthy recovery, but the parents’ trust and the unwavering care that made it all possible.
