What is the difference between Heart Attack ❤️ & Cardiac Arrest ⚡ ? How to Identify ? What are the Do's and Dont's ?

❤️ Heart Attack vs ⚡ Cardiac Arrest
They are NOT the same, but both are emergencies.

❤️ Heart Attack is a circulation problem.
A blocked coronary artery stops blood flow to part of the heart muscle. The heart usually keeps beating. The person is often conscious.

⏳ Golden Period: The first 60–90 minutes are critical to save heart muscle.
🚑 Call emergency services immediately. Rest. Chew aspirin if advised.
❗ CPR is NOT needed unless the person becomes unresponsive.

⚡ Cardiac Arrest is an electrical problem.
The heart suddenly stops pumping due to abnormal rhythm (often ventricular fibrillation).
The person collapses, stops breathing, and has no pulse.

⏳ Brain injury can begin in 4–6 minutes.
Every minute without CPR reduces survival by 7–10%.

🚨 Immediate Action:
Start CPR and use an AED as soon as possible.

💡 Remember

Heart Attack = Blocked artery (plumbing problem)
Cardiac Arrest = Heart stops (electrical problem)

💡 CPR & AED are for cardiac arrest, not for a conscious heart attack patient.
