Output - Learn it Now - Biomedical Engineers
------------------------------------------
“Which parameter tells us how effectively the left ventricle pumps blood — Cardiac Output or Ejection Fraction?”

🫀 Did You Know?
With every heartbeat, the left ventricle pumps a fixed volume of blood into the aorta — this is called Stroke Volume.

🔹 Ejection Fraction (EF):
It tells us what percentage of blood inside the left ventricle is actually pumped out with each beat.
📌 Normal EF = 55% – 70%

🔹 Cardiac Output (CO):
It is the total amount of blood pumped by the heart in one minute.
📌 Formula = Stroke Volume × Heart Rate
(So if stroke volume drops or heart rate drops → cardiac output decreases)

💡 In simple terms:
EF tells how effectively the heart pumps,
CO tells how much blood the heart pumps per minute

🧠 Do you Know What is Doppler Principle ? - Job Interview Questions 💡 for BME'S

The doppler principle is applied in Medical Ultrasound machines, especially the ultrasound machines used in echocardiography to measure blood flow direction, Velocity and blood volume.

🔷Doppler principle in Medical Ultrasound:

When ultrasound waves hit moving red blood cells, the reflected frequency increases when they move towards the probe and decreases when they move away from the ultrasound probe. This change is called the Doppler shift.

🔷In simple note : Doppler effect is the change in the frequency of a wave( Sound or light) that occurs due to the relative motion between a source and an observer.
