Education Tour of Paramedic Ayush Students to Govt Unani College Ganderbal on 13-10-2025

A group of Paramedic Ayush students visited today the Government Unani Medical College (GUMC) in Ganderbal, led by Nodal Officer Ayush Trainings, Dr. Akhtar Hussain Naik, and Dr. Bilal Ahmad Wani, MD Ayurveda. The educational tour aimed to provide students with hands-on experience and exposure to the Unani system of medicine.

During the visit, the students interacted with faculty members and gained insights into the academic and clinical aspects of Unani medicine. The tour also included a visit to the college's OPD/IPD blocks and laboratories, where students observed the practical application of Unani principles in patient care.

This educational tour is part of the students' curriculum, designed to broaden their knowledge and understanding of alternative systems of medicine, including Unani and Ayurveda. The visit to GUMC Ganderbal was a valuable learning experience for the students, providing them with a unique opportunity to explore the Unani system of medicine and its applications.

Celebration of Seva Parv 2025 and Swastha Nari Sashakta Parivar (SNSP) Abhiyan initiative is a commendable effort in promoting health and wellness.

NCD Screening and General Health Checkup Camp:
Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush) Hygam Baramulla conducted an NCD Screening and General Health Check-up Camp at Hygam where in 100 patients were screened for Hypertension, Diabetes, Oral cancer, Musculoskeletal Disorders and other diseases at AAM Hygam Baramulla.
The participants were provided with free Ayush medicines, promoting accessibility and affordability of healthcare.
The event included awareness sessions on Menstrual hygiene and Maternal health, Dincharya, Ritucharya and other Life style Modifications empowering the public with essential knowledge.

The screening camp and awareness program help identify potential health issues and promote preventive care among adolescent girls. By providing free medicines and promoting menstrual hygiene and maternal health awareness, the initiative empowers the girls to take charge of their health to obtain the goal of "SWASTHA NARI SASHAKTA PARIVAR"

SNSP Initiative: The Swastha Nari Sashakta Parivar initiative (September 17, 2025, to October 2, 2025) supports the empowerment of women and families through health and wellness programs.

In continuation of "swasth Nari Sashakt parivar Abhiyaan " All AAM conducted a theme based awareness camp in collaboration with BMO , in which the participants where informed & educated about the SNSPA campaign.
1. Adolescent age group and developmetal issues
2. Mensural hygiene.
3. yoga sessions
Also issues such as malnutrition antenatal care and nutritional counseling was given to the participants. Holistic wellness through Yoga Sessions and Ayurvedic based wellness care was educated to the participants. Also a free Ayush medical check up of specific diseases and their treatment by the way of Ayush was given to the participants with free Ayush medicines.
