PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease) & PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) are almost same conditions caused by hormonal imbalance. Here there are many immature stree beeja(follicle or egg) in o***y. They don't produce mature beeja(follicle or egg) and so no egg release (ovulation) will be there and as a result the lady doesn't conceive.
WHO estimates 8-13% of reproductive aged women have PCOD problem but upto 70% of affected are undiagnosed. The global prevalence of PCOS is estimated between 4-20%. In India it is estimated to be between 3.7% to 22.5%. The symptoms of PCOD or PCOS will be
