CFM is a Department of AIIMS Bhopal which will be expected to absorb talent, provide Family Planning and Triage clinics, Rural & Urban Community Health for the country and conduct research in national and regional health problems. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)-Bhopal has started a new department of community and family medicine (CFM) from their first academic session, started in September 2012. "Family medicine is meant to provide personal, comprehensive and continuing care to the individual in the context of family and community"

CFM is promoting the concept of family practice and family medicine management, which are widely practiced and popular in Western countries, but not in India.The department is also providing rural and urban community health outreach preventive services in all initiatives of AIIMS-Bhopal. References

"Students who will enroll in this program would look at the role of family and community both in prevention and mutual interaction of both. Students will learn to deal with epidemics and long-term diseases like AIDS, cancer, seasonal illness, non-communicable diseases like diabetes and hypertension, among others . The course will create better and holistic general practitioners who will have a holistic way for looking at cure, prevention and promotion of health,"

The DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND FAMILY MEDICINE AIIMS BHOPAL has successfully conducted the consecutive Workshop On "Instrument/Questionnaire Development" on 9-10 October 2013. Just after the successful workshop on "Qualitative Research Methods & Analysis". Many Delegates were took participation in both workshop. Dr Shuba Kumar (Social Scientist, SAMARTH, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India) and Dr Rani Mohanraj (Psychologist SAMARTH, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India) was our guest faculty. Dr Kumar has been conducting this popular workshop in different medical colleges throughout India. Dr Mohanraj has been involved in research studies on mental health concerns. This is the "group Photo" of participants and faculty with our support staff of the Second workshop. I am sure that these workshop intended to all delegates to Questionnaire development.
