Five koshas explanation

Annamaya Kosha – The Physical Layer“Anna” means food—this sheath is the physical body sustained by food.It is tangible, material, and perceivable through the senses.
Pranamaya Kosha – The Energy LayerComposed of prana (life force), this governs breath and vitality.Associated with the respiratory and circulatory systems.
Manomaya Kosha – The Mind LayerThe mental body, consisting of thoughts, emotions, and sensory processing.This sheath is active in cognition, emotions, and reaction.
Vijnanamaya Kosha – The Wisdom LayerThe intellect and intuition—our discerning and knowing faculty.It allows self-reflection, insight, and deeper understanding.
Anandamaya Kosha – The Bliss LayerThe innermost and subtlest layer.Source of bliss, peace, and our connection with the universal consciousness.
