The Late Mr.Harry Crowe Buck was the founder of this institution and it’s Principal for 20 years till his death. Harry Crowe Buck was instrumental to start Olympic movement in India. Today it has grown into an outstanding institution of higher learning dedicated to the growth of scientific physical education from Nursery School up to Doctoral Studies all in one sprawling campus. It is significant that sports for the visually handicapped was developed and being popularized by the YMCA College of Physical Education
