Statistics provided by MORTH (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways) in 2015 gives us the estimated number death by accidents. Tamil Nadu was ranked first in the number of accidents in the year 2015. The highest number of accident fell under the age group 25-34 years in both men and women. However, the number of accidents in the other age groups are not any less.

The number of accidents have been increasing over the years. Most of the cases state that the driver was either drunk or was engaged in conversation on their mobile phones and others were due to carelessness and rash driving.

Statistics provided by the NCRB (National Crime Records Bureau) in 2015 gives us the estimated number of drowning deaths in India. First on this list was Maharashtra followed by Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.
