‘देवभूमि’ उत्तराखंड की समृद्ध संस्कृति एवं प्राचीन परंपराओं का अभिन्न हिस्सा है, इगास बग्वाल। आप सभी को इगास बग्वाल की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं।पहाड़ में बग्वाल दीपावली के ठीक 11 दिन बाद ईगास मनाने की परंपरा है।पौराणिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार श्रीराम के वनवास से अयोध्या लौटने पर लोगों ने कार्तिक कृष्ण अमावस्या को दीये जलाकर उनका स्वागत किया था। लेकिन, गढ़वाल क्षेत्र में राम के लौटने की सूचना दीपावली के ग्यारह दिन बाद कार्तिक शुक्ल एकादशी को मिली।
