We Dentist are sitting at homes since last 45 days.In these days none of us has earned a single ₹.At the same time majority of us are paying our staff members their full salary , our Rent and our Electricity bills of our clinics.And inspite of us being not in very sound financial situation we are giving free advice to patients whenever they call us.We are prescribing them medicines whenever the patient requests us and that too without expecting anything in return.We could have also called the patient to our clinics and charged emergency fee .But we didn't do so because we care for our patients and our families.And still there are some people making fun of Dentists saying that you are just sitting at home .We are sitting at home because unlike others we can't treat a patient while he/she is wearing a mask.And no 100% safe and effective method has been found which will protect us and our patients equally from Covid virus while in clinic.But even at our home we are doing our duty wrt patients and that too selflessly .
So am a Proud Dentist sitting at home and still taking care of my staff ,my family and even helping patients without any financial benefits.Its really tough but still we are doing it.
