“Eat real food.”
Sounds simple. But the new US Nutritional guide is actually the most evidence-based nutrition advice we have.
What I really like about this framework is what sits at the base:
👉 Protein, dairy, and healthy fats - not sugar, not refined carbs.
Protein is not a fad.
Protein is structural nutrition.
It supports:
• muscle mass
• metabolic health
• insulin sensitivity
• satiety and weight control
• better outcomes with ageing and chronic disease
Yet most people under-eat protein, and then wonder why:
• sugars don’t improve
• weight doesn’t shift
• fatigue doesn’t go away
This isn’t about extremes.
It’s about real, minimally processed food:
eggs, fish, meat, dal, curd, paneer, nuts, seeds — eaten consistently.
Vegetables and fruits add fibre and micronutrients.
Whole grains have a role — but they’re not the foundation.
Also — I genuinely love how clearly this website explains nutrition.

India needs something this simple, visual, and evidence-based.
Nutrition doesn’t need trends.
It needs structure, clarity, and honesty
