Mani is a Padma Shri awardee for his contribution to Heart Surgery. He is currently the Chairman of Heart Surgery at the Max Smart Hospital, Saket, New Delhi. Dr. Mani has personally performed over 21,000 cardiac surgeries to date both adult and pediatric. To encourage the re-habilitation program for patients after cardiac surgery, he integrated his staff, dietician and physiotherapist to promote life style management strategies. March towards Zero Mortality:
During his journey and march towards zero mortality he very successfully reduced the morbidity and mortality from 20% to 0.3-1% even in High Risk Cases. He initiated processes of infection control and patient safety and thereby improved the survival and reduced mortality at par with International Standards.

Baby Janani ( d/o poor parents) was discovered to have a Birth Defect of Heart by Dr Manju Mani & Team in Gift of Life Outreach project. She was subsequently operated by Dr. Ganesh K. Mani & Team at MAX Smart under an MoU between 🔆Rotary 3011& MAX HEALTH CARE She is recovering well and hopefully assured a normal Life . Timely Heart Surgery ensures improved quantity & quality of Life . Isn't this a true "Gift of Life"?
