đ 2-min read (personal share)
Iâm in my hometown today đ â drove here this morning because my father met with a small accident. Everything is under control đ but I wanted to see him in person.
Moments like these make you realise â our parents are getting older . â¤ď¸
A little bit about my father: he had a major accident when I was just one year old. I donât remember it, but my grandparents always said, It was like your father got a new life.
As I grew up, I saw him get injured a few times â once while playing cricket during his office days (probably due to lack of warm-up đ
when I was in 4th or 5th grade), and another time when a car hit him from behind. Thankfully, nothing major happened either time.
Earlier, I never really worried or even visited him after such incidents because, to me, he was always strong â my superhero
But this time... I felt it deeply. I couldnât resist visiting him. Itâs one of those moments when you realise â you now have responsibilities, and your parents are truly growing old.
đ Fitness is not just about physical strength â itâs also about realising your responsibilities towards your parents, spouse, and children. Itâs about staying fit enough to be a help to them, not a burden.
If you live with your parents, youâre lucky đ
If you live away because of work, make sure to visit them often or call them regularly.
Our good education, our stability â much of it exists because of their sacrifices. đ
Not saying this to scare you, but to make you realise:
đ One day, I might stop receiving those blurry WhatsApp photos of his morning walks, which he sends me daily.
Letâs make this place more human â¤ď¸
