🩸 1. HbA1c :
HbA1c shows your average blood sugar over the last 2–3 months.
Normal: Below 5.7%
Prediabetes: 5.7% to 6.4%
Diabetes: 6.5% or higher
🥐 2. Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS)
This is measured first thing in the morning after you haven't eaten for at least 8 hours.
Normal: 70–99 mg/dL
Prediabetes: 100–125 mg/dL
Diabetes: 126 mg/dL or higher
🍽️ 3. Post-Prandial (PP)
This test is usually done exactly 2 hours after a meal to see how your body handles sugar from food.
Normal: Below 140 mg/dL
Prediabetes: 140–199 mg/dL
Diabetes: 200 mg/dL or higher
🥤 4. OGTT (Oral Glucose Tolerance Test)
Often used during pregnancy or for a deeper look at sugar processing. You’ll drink a sugary liquid (75g glucose) and have your blood tested 2 hours later.
Normal: Below 140 mg/dL
Prediabetes: 140–199 mg/dL
Diabetes: 200 mg/dL or higher
