Just returned from an unforgettable trip to Riyadh!
It was a tremendous honor to represent India and Sharp Sight as an International Speaker at the Saudi Ophthalmology Society (SOS) Conference 2025. I was one of the few surgeons globally invited to speak at this prestigious event—a moment of true pride! 🇮🇳
We had engaging debates and discussions on the latest surgical innovations and eye care research. Sharing the stage and connecting with leading eye surgeons from around the world was inspiring.
Huge thanks to SOS for the platform and the chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Came back energized!

What are the best treatments for Keratoconus?
This is a condition where the cornea changes shape and becomes conical . And cause permanent loss of vision in young people
Here’s a simple guide to fixing it and improving your vision!

Stopping the Progression:
The main treatment to halt the thinning is CXL (Corneal Cross-Linking). Sometimes, tiny devices called corneal rings (or Intacs) are also used.

Seeing Clearly (Visual Rehabilitation):
This is where specialized contact lenses come in! For some, phakic lenses or, in advanced cases, a corneal transplant might be necessary to restore vision

In this video, we explore a case that many surgeons had turned away.
You'll see how delicate maneuvers in a shallow anterior chamber can transform a challenging situation into a confident outcome.

We present a unique surgical journey: implanting a -22 diopters phakic IOL in a patient with iris coloboma, followed by elegant pupil reconstruction using the single-pass four-throw technique.

Step by step, we’ll break down the technique of pupillary repair, highlight key decisions, steps and share insights that empower you to handle similar cases with precision and calm.

This case showcases not only technical finesse but also the power of minimalism in restoring function and aesthetics. operating in a very shallow space of nearly 2.40 mm in a very uncooperative patient

Watch closely as i navigate anatomical challenges STEP BY STEP, optimize space, and deliver a rewarding outcome in a situation few would may attempt.

Iris Repair in a Phakic Eye with IOL:

A First-of-Its-Kind Case
This video showcases a rare and technically demanding case involving a patient who had undergone Phakic IOL implantation elsewhere.
Due to retained viscoelastic, the patient experienced elevated intraocular pressure for nearly a week.
Although the pressure eventually normalized, the pupil remained fixed and dilated.
What makes this case exceptional is the ex*****on of iris repair using the single pass four-throw technique within an extremely confined anterior chamber — complicated further by the presence of the Phakic IOL.

Possibly the first reported surgery of its kind, this rewarding intervention brought immense relief to the patient and highlights the precision, adaptability, and innovation required in such challenging scenarios.

Are you or someone you know experiencing blurred or distorted vision, especially in your teens or early twenties?

It could be Keratoconus, a progressive eye disease where the clear, dome-shaped front surface of the eye, the cornea, thins out and bulges into a cone shape.

In this reel, we'll dive into what actually causes this condition—from genetic links to environmental factors—and break down the crucial diagnostic methods, like corneal topography, that eye doctors use to catch it early and protect your sight! Keep watching to learn more! 💡

Welcome back to the channel—
where clarity meets complexity.
In this video, we explore a compelling case of traumatic lens subluxation with vitreous prolapse into the anterior chamber, compounded by raised intraocular pressure. You'll see how timely use of ECR, smart observation, and intuitive decision-making can transform a high-stakes scenario into a teachable moment.
We’ll demonstrate:
• Managing vitreous loss without staining, especially in high IOP settings
• Performing selective minimal vitrectomy with precision
• Applying simple tricks and subtle cues to guide safe, confident intervention
This case is a masterclass in doing more with less—watch closely, and let’s make complexity feel simple.
