Featured in The Times of India on World Cancer Day!
Today, I’m honored to share a story that deeply touched my heart - published in The Times of India Health section, highlighting an extraordinary woman from Alwar, Rajasthan, who defied cancer not once but twice and reclaimed life with courage, resilience, and unwavering support from her loved ones.
As her surgical oncologist, witnessing her journey from diagnosis to recovery - including a complex robotic-assisted Whipple procedure at her age - was both humbling and inspiring. More touching still was her gesture of inviting me to her 50th wedding anniversary celebration - a profound reminder that survival isn’t just about years added to life, but life added to years.
On World Cancer Day, let’s honor our patients - their strength, their families, and the shared moments that make medicine meaningful.
❤️ Here’s to life, hope, and the human spirit.
