HEARING LOSS & TINNITUS because of loud noise from crackers !! FIRE CRACKERS CAN DESTROY HEARING
Hearing loss caused by firecrackers is a common concern, especially during Diwali festivals or events where fireworks are used. The loud noise from firecrackers leads to noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL).
MECHANISM _
High Intensity of Sound: _ Firecrackers can produce sound levels above 140 dB, much higher than the safe limit for human ears (85 dB). Sudden exposure to such loud noise causes damage the delicate hair cells present in hearing nerves in the inner ear, which are responsible for transmitting sound signals to the brain.

Temporary Hearing Loss: Short-term exposure might result in temporary hearing loss, where sounds may seem muffled for a few hours or days.
Permanent hearing loss _ prolonged or repeated exposure can cause permanent hearing loss, as the damage to the inner ear’s hair cells is irreversible.

Symptoms:

Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)

Difficulty hearing in noisy environments

Muffled sounds

Pain or discomfort in the ears

HOW TO PREVENT HEARING LOSS _

Keep a safe distance from firecrackers.

Ear protection such as earplugs or noise-canceling earmuffs can be used

Limit the time spent around loud noises.

TONSIL STONES are small, pebble-like lumps that form in your tonsils. They’re made of hardened minerals (like calcium), food debris and germs. The main symptom is bad breath, but some people develop other issues like a cough or sore throat. Tonsil stones usually aren’t harmful, but a provider can remove them if they’re uncomfortable. The more crevasse you have, the more likely you are to develop these rock-like formations. The medical community has identified the four most common risk factors, and they are:

1. Lackluster Dental Hygiene

When a person lacks dental hygiene, it causes more bacteria and debris to roam freely around the mouth. It can easily get lodged in these pockets within the tonsils. Once the stone is forming, no amount of brushing or flossing will get rid of it.

2. Abnormal Sized Tonsils

If a dentist measured 50 mouths across the country, all would have different sized tonsils. They’re just as unique as your toes or fingers. Sadly, the larger this gland is, the more likely you will have problems with things getting trapped inside them.

If it continues to be an ongoing problem, you can remove them to avoid the recurring issue.

3. Persistent Sinus Problems

Sinus issues are a known contributor to tonsil stones because of the infection and mucus that washes down the back of the throat. Anytime you have a high bacteria area, plus pockets where food particles can hide, it’s a recipe for trouble.

FISH BONE in mouth!!! Can be dangerous!!
Visit doctor immediately rather than trying home remedies which push the bone into the mucosal lining making it difficult to visualise & remove

The 45-year-old woman had eaten fish soup, not realising there were sharp bones in the belly meat.

At first, the couple tried to manage the problem at home. They followed a common traditional method eating more food to try and push the bone down. When that didn’t work, she used her finger to press the area inside her mouth, hoping to dislodge it.

They visited a hospital, but doctors could not see the bone on an X-ray and believed it had passed through the digestive system. She was sent home with medication.
Over the next two weeks, her pain grew worse. “She began showing signs that looked like thyroid inflammation,” Mr Suriyan told
A second hospital visit also failed to detect the problem, and she was sent home again. Eventually, the pain became severe, and she placed a pain-relief patch on her neck. On the second day of using a new patch, something sharp began to break through her skin the tip of bone came out !!
Her husband took her to Hospital . This time, X-rays confirmed the presence of the bone. Doctors carried out immediate surgery and removed it.

“It’s something so simple, but it could have caused serious harm,” he said. “
