Mrida Group represents sustainable, scalable business models focused towards sustainable Rural Development. ‘Mrida’ in Sanskrit means ‘Soil’.

And that, in a single word encapsulates what we stand for. We work at the ground level, close to the soil. Our work is directed mainly at the Base of the Pyramid (BOP) – our core customers. Our product offerings emanate, literally as well as figuratively, from the soil. As they say, “We come from the Soil. And we will ultimately go back to it”. Well – Mrida as a business, is inspired by the soil…..! Our logo – a plant beginning to take root – also reflects the Mrida philosophy. The color green is symbolic of the eco friendly, vibrant and ethical businesses that the group seeks to bring to life. The bud represents the fruits of our efforts, and would soon blossom into life as the business evolves and grows. Each Mrida business entity – Mrida Renergy & Development (P) Ltd., Mrida Greens & Organics Pvt. Ltd., and Khoj – Journeys of Discovery, represents business models designed to create win-win situations across the spectrum of their association. We work at the ground level (BOP), but dream big and aim high. India is our base but our ultimate objective is to become a global entity. At Mrida, we have embarked upon a journey – one that we firmly believe must be as enjoyable and stimulating as the destination itself. Over time, we hope to generate a Mission, a Movement of individuals and organizations joining us on this journey. Our Vision is to promote vibrant, respected and ethical business organizations that spread happiness, good cheer and well-being, even as they seek to empower, uplift and benefit society at large. Real change often begins quietly in our villages with women who lead with courage, resilience, and determination.

This International Women’s Day 2026, Mrida Group celebrated the spirit of rural women at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar, Bareilly.
The program recognized the leadership, hard work, and growing role of women in agriculture, livelihoods, and community development.

With the presence of Mr. Neeraj Tandon (Regional Manager, Uttar Pradesh Grameen Bank), Dr. Hans Ram Meena (Director KVK & Principal Scientist), and Mr. Abhishek Mishra (DDM, NABARD), the discussions focused on empowering rural women through skills, modern practices, financial access, and new opportunities.
