முக்கியமான ஆவணங்கள்: எதற்கு எது தேவை?

குடியுரிமைக்கு (Citizen)
இந்தியக் குடிமகன் என்று நிரூபிக்க:
கடவுச்சீட்டு (Passport): இதுவே மிகவும் சரியான ஆதாரம்.
பிறப்புச் சான்றிதழ் (Birth Certificate): இந்தியாவில் பிறந்திருந்தால் இதுவும் செல்லுபடியாகும்.

நினைவில் கொள்க: ஆதார் அல்லது பான் கார்டு குடியுரிமைக்கான ஆதாரம் அல்ல. அவை அடையாள அட்டை மட்டுமே.

முகவரிச் சான்றுக்கு (Address/Residence):
ஆதார் அட்டை: நாடு முழுவதும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படும் முக்கியமான ஆதாரம்.
பிற ஆவணங்கள்: மின்சாரம்/தண்ணீர் ரசீது, வீடு குத்தகை ஒப்பந்தம் (Rent Agreement), பாஸ்போர்ட்டில் உள்ள முகவரி, வாக்காளர் அடையாள அட்டை.

பிறந்த தேதிக்கு (Date of Birth - DOB)
பிறந்த தேதியை உறுதிப்படுத்த:
பிறப்புச் சான்றிதழ்: இதுவே மிகவும் உண்மையான ஆதாரம்.
10-ஆம் வகுப்பு மார்க் ஷீட் (Mark Sheet) / பள்ளி மாற்றுச் சான்றிதழ் (TC): இவை பிறந்த தேதியைக் கொண்டிருக்கும்.

கடவுச்சீட்டு அல்லது ஆதார் அட்டையில் உள்ள பிறந்த தேதியும் ஏற்கப்படும்.

நினைவில் கொள்க: பான் கார்டு பிறந்த தேதிக்கு செல்லுபடியாகாது.

"Gandhi" Narayanan
(He was praised for writing a letter signed by Gandhi in Tamil as Mo Ka Gandhi)
Narayanan hails from Devakottai in Sivagangai district. He was fondly known in Devakottai as ‘Gandhi Narayanan’ or ‘Gandhi Navanna’. He was appreciated by Gandhi ji himself for his patriotic work by way of a letter signed by Gandhi ji in Tamil. He was influenced by Gandhian way of life and he used prepare his dress made up of Kadhar and wear the dress.

In 1934, when Gandhi ji visited Devakottai, he was one of the members of welcoming committee and arranged grand welcome to Gandhi ji and also he donated Rs2600/- to Gandhi ji.

As a mark of love and respect, his wife Sivakami Ammal offered a silver plate and a sovereign gold to Gandhi ji.

He participated in various freedom movement protests and he also took part in the conference organised by Congress in Bombay from 24th Oct to 28th Oct in 1934. He took lots of efforts to popularise Kadhar dress amongst public and it was appreciated by Gandhi ji.

After independence, he was made as first President of Devakottai Panchayat and he named a street after M K Gandhi ji in Devakottai . He was instrumental in collecting all articles used by Gandhi ji and offered to a Museum in Madurai and he opened a school namely Adhi Nilayam Elementary School near Devakottai Railway Station to propogate Gandhian way of life to children.

When a birth centenary of Gandhi ji was celebrated in 1969, he was invited as one of very few freedom fighters who were permitted to stay in a cottage where Gandhi ji lived in Sabarmati Ashram. He considered the above invitation as the most revered and respectable honour given to him in his life. He popularised Gandhian principle and participated in National Freedom Movement throughout his life.

மகாத்மா காந்தி சிறையில் இருந்தபோது ஸ்மட்ஸ் என்ற மகா கொடியவன் ஜெயிலராக இருந்தான். எல்லாக் கைதிகளையும் எலும்பு ஒடிய அடிப்பவன்.

காந்தியையும் கீழே தள்ளி, பூட்ஸ் காலால் பலமுறை மிதித்தான், அடித்தான்.
அடிக்கும்போது எல்லோரும் ஐயோ! என்று அலறினார்கள்.

*ஆனால், காந்தி மட்டும் "ராம்!ராம்!!" என்று சொன்னது, அவனை மிகவே யோசிக்க வைத்தது. அன்று முதல் காந்தியை அடிப்பதை நிறுத்தினான். ஆனால், காந்தியை அவ்வப்போது உற்றுப் பார்த்தான். இலேசாகப் புன்முறுவல் காட்டினான்.

ஒரு நாள் "மிஸ்டர் காந்தி" என்று கனிவாக அழைத்து நான் உங்களுக்கு ஏதாவது உதவ நினைக்கின்றேன்; என்ன வேண்டும் என்றான்?

ஏதாவது புத்தகம் கொடுங்கள் என்றார் காந்தி. அவன் "பைபிள்" சார்ந்த இரு நூல்களைப் பரிசாக கொடுத்தான். இந்தத் தொடக்கம் நட்பாக மாறியது; வளர்ந்தது. ஒரு நாள் காந்தியிடம் வந்த ஸ்மட்ஸ், நான் உங்களுக்கு ஒரு மகிழ்ச்சியான செய்தியையும், ஓரு வருத்தமான செய்தியையும், கொண்டு வந்துள்ளேன் என்றான்.

மகிழ்ச்சி எது? வருத்தம் எது?
என்று கேட்டார் காந்தி.
இன்று உங்களுக்கு விடுதலை. இது மகிழ்ச்சியான செய்தி.
ஆனால், உங்களைப் பிரிய
என்னால் முடியவில்லை. இது வருத்தமான செய்தி என்றான்
ஸ்மட்ஸ்.

காந்தி சொன்னார், நானும் உங்களுக்கு ஒரு பரிசு தருகிறேன்; என் நினைவாக வைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்" என்று சொல்லி, தான் சிறையில் தைத்த பூட்சை அவரிடம் கொடுத்தார். ஆவலோடு அணிந்து பார்த்த ஸ்மட்ஸ் கேட்டான், "இவ்வளவு
துல்லியமாகத் தைக்க, என் கால்களின் அளவு எப்படிக் கிடைத்தது" என்று கேட்க,
சிரித்தபடி காந்தி தனது மார்புத் துண்டை அகற்றினார்; ஆரம்பத்தில் ஸ்மட்ஸ் காலால் உதைத்தபோது ஏற்பட்ட வடுக்கள் அங்கு இருந்தன.
"இந்த வடுக்களை
அளந்துதான் தைத்தேன்" என்று காந்தி சொன்னார்.

"தடால்" என்று சத்தம்; ஸ்மட்ஸ் கீழே விழுந்து காந்தியின் கால்களைப் பிடித்துக் கதறினான். "நான் மிருகம்! கொடிய, கேவலமான, மிருகம்!!
என்னை மன்னித்து விடுங்கள்.
இனி யாரையும் அடிக்க மாட்டேன்" என்றார்.

ஒரு நிமிடத்தில், மென்மையான
மனிதனாக மாறியது. "கல்லையும் கனியாக மாற்றலாம்" என்று இதைத்தான் சொன்னார்களோ என்று எண்ணத் தோன்றுகிறது.

ஸ்மட்ஸ் சத்தியம் செய்தான்.
"இந்த பூட்ஸ்தான் இனி எனக்குக் கடவுள்; இதை மட்டுமே வணங்குவேன்" அணியமாட்டேன் என்று சொல்லி அந்த பூட்சை தன் பூஜை அறையில் வைத்து அப்படியே வணங்கினான்.

நாம் நினைத்தால், யாரையும் மன்னிக்கவும் முடியும். மாற்றவும் முடியும்".

மன்னிக்கின்ற மனம் தான் மனிதனை மகாத்மாவாக மாற்றும்.
