Healthcare Insurance Sector has evolved in India over past 4 decades. Since then public & private corporate insurance sector companies have propagated insurance across the country. Government health schemes have evolved and are playing role mainly through insurance based model. The private players, competing amongst themselves, adopted all possible means to acquire the business in the country. Hospitals, the most important stakeholders responsible for actual healthcare delivery, are nearly dominated by insurance players today.
