Tej eye center’s Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar branches are fully-equipped with diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical tools and world-class class 100, epoxy coated joint less modular operation theatre with general anesthesia facility, microsurgical equipment and instruments. It has HEPA filters with laminar air flow along with positive air pressure dedicated for broad spectrum of eye surgeries.

We are proud to inform you that we have come up with bigger and better Eye Hospital in Sector 6, Gandhinagar which has all eye care facilities under one roof. It is built in 10,000+ sq. ft area with 6 floors, 26+ specialized rooms, 4 OPD rooms, 2 counselling rooms and various specialty clinics like Cataract clinic, Glaucoma clinic, Retina clinic. Other amenities include library, auditorium with 200+ capacities, boardroom, optical outlet and pharmacy facilities. In true sense, it is an eye care destination for emerging India.

“Spectacular world”, an in-house optical outlet started by TEC in all 5 branches provides technically correct prescription spectacle - a value added service which has received an overwhelming response by our patients.

Dr. Dalal and Team TEC have made significant strides in social initiatives as well – to eradicate avoidable blindness, eye donations, tele-medicine and government outreach programs. We undertake numerous social initiatives yearly like 400+ educational lectures on Avoidable Blindness Awareness, 3000+ free eye camps and diabetes checkup across villages, residential societies and corporates, vision screening camps in more than 200 government schools in Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar. Educative programs for school teachers and parents are also conducted to help detect eye problems at an early age.

Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is emerging to be one of the major causes of avoidable blindness. As there isn’t much needed awareness of DR and associated symptoms, patient problems are identified very late. In that context, to create awareness and to detect damages inside the eye (retina) of diabetic patient early, Tej eye center has signed a MoU with Health & Family Welfare Department of Govt. of Gujarat during vibrant summit 2019 for Diabetic Retinopathy screening using telemedicine. Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) free India initiative has been successfully running for last 1 year in various CHCs PHCs and UHCs of govt. setup. We have extended this program to various departments like police, education, transport; Jilla Panchyat, Gandhinagar; Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and banks.

Tej eye center has taken up the activity of free eye checkup and education of all farmers and 128 milk distribution units (dudh mandli) of Madhur dairy in rural areas around Gandhinagar.

Tej eye center participated in the celebration of “31st National Road safety week” by carrying out free eye checkup of drivers and arranging lectures for university students to help raise public awareness about traffic rules and reduce the number of road accidents that occur on a daily basis.

Under Dr. Tejal Dalal guidance, “Vision for Everyone” initiative was started where she encourages people to donate their old frames which can be refitted with corrective glasses to help needy children and elderly for free. To date, TEC has helped many needy people with such refitted glasses, thanks to strong support and frames’ donation by people.

Dr. Dalal worked with Gujarat state and central government of India to allow paramedical staff to collect corneas from donor. This breakthrough in policy has tremendously increased eye donations in villages, expanded employment for paramedical staff and enabled eye transplants for thousands of people. Currently, corneal transplants are being done at TEC.

TEC organized an Eye Donation Rally on 10th October 2013 in Gandhinagar to create awareness for Eye Donation. The Rally was flagged off by Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Nitinbhai Patel. Around 1500 people pledged to donate their eyes.

Patient initiatives like "Tej Eye" mobile app and a free helpline 08046878307 - TEC for the first time has launched a mobile parental control app that will help people manage their screen time in this digital age. The mobile screen can shutdown at pre-decided time. Helpline number helps to answer questions related to Eye problems.
