HAPPY WORLD PHYSIOTHERAPY DAY

I take this opportunity to extend my warmest wishes to the physiotherapists of Sikkim and the world for their work in helping people live a pain free life. Healing people to live a life free from injuries and pain is a form of compassion. Physiotherapists are involved in such important work that not only helps people dealing with chronic pain from injuries but disabilities too. On World Physiotherapy Day, I extend my best wishes to physiotherapists and congratulate them for the important work they are doing.

I am also happy that during our SDF tenure, we established a Sikkim Manipal College of Physiotherapy in Sikkim Manipal University, which was the first Physiotherapy college in Northeast India. We also sent students to Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Karnataka for their education in Physiotherapy free of cost in 2009. We look forward to doing more of such work for the Physiotherapy discipline in Sikkim in the future.

Wishing you a very happy World Physiotherapy Day!

World Physiotherapy Day: Hats off to Sikkim's Physiotherapists.

On the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to all the dedicated and compassionate physiotherapists of our beautiful state.

Sikkim is home to a vibrant community of physiotherapists who have tirelessly worked to improve the lives of our residents. Their expertise and dedication have assuaged the miseries, bringing hope to countless individuals struggling with physical challenges.

The remarkable contributions made by the physiotherapists is always appreciated. Furthermore, we are committed to enhancing healthcare services in the state, and to this end, we will be including physiotherapy services in the upcoming Wellness Park in Gangtok.

This initiative is a testament to our government's commitment to holistic healthcare. The Wellness Park will serve as a hub for promoting physical fitness, preventive care, and wellness. The inclusion of physiotherapy services will compliment our efforts to provide comprehensive healthcare to the people of Sikkim.

On this World Physiotherapy Day, let us all take a moment to express our gratitude to the physiotherapists who work tirelessly behind the scenes, helping individuals recover and regain their strength. Their dedication is an embodiment of our state's spirit - resilient, compassionate, and caring.

I invite all the people of Sikkim to join me in appreciating our physiotherapists for their invaluable contributions to society. Together, we look forward to a healthier, happier, and more vibrant Sikkim.
