Prevention of transmission is possible with safe sexual practices, avoidance of needle sharing and drugs. With early detection and advancements in Antiretroviral therapy HIV positive individuals can now lead near normal lives.

Can Intravenous Glutathione change one's skin colour? There is so much frenzy about this molecule but is there any truth to it? When treatment modalities are offered to patients for skin diseases or concerns, there is strong scientific data and evidence to support the same. But with social media, influencers, aggressive marketing, targets and business models, sometimes frenzy overtakes facts & trends overtake safety. Here it is, plain facts with no glitter. Our genetic skin colour cannot be changed. If anyone offers to change it for you - WALK AWAY without thinking twice. This isn't medical science, this is Colourism and it is about time we break away from it. Let's wear our skin colour with PRIDE.

A lot of our routine hair care activities may be damaging our hair. It is best to air dry washed hair. Avoid rubbing vigorously, instead gently dab the excess water away. Use a hair dryer only if needed in the normal to low heat setting. Avoid styling your hair when wet, this is when it is most susceptible to breakage. Avoid very tight hair do's as the traction may lead to damage and in some patients even traction alopecia. Always see a certified Dermatologist (MD/DVD/DNB) for your hair issues and problems.

Kindly see a certified Dermatologist (MD/DVD/DNB) in Dermatology for your skin, hair, nail issues, lasers, procedures related to skin.

There are no recognised degrees by the name of Aesthetic physician, Cosmetologist etc for a skin expert, skin specialist or Dermatologist in India. Check the credentials of your treating skin specialist. A skin clinic needs to have a certified Dermatologist to be called a skin clinic.

Doctors from other branches, dental practitioners, unqualified people claiming to be skin experts, skin specialists or Dermatologists amounts to malpractice and is punishable by law.

We respect our dental practitioners and hope that the dental fraternity takes action against those responsible for unethical practices like these leading to unfortunate and untimely loss of lives.

Let's stand together for ethical healthcare practices for the benefit of our patients and our country at large.
