19th March 2016 SAC meeting of KVK Gumla was conducted on 19th March 2016. The meeting was chaired by our hon'ble Chairman Padmshree Shri Ashok Bhagat. Dr. K. S. Das, Principal scientist, ATARI, Kolkata, Dr. D. N. Singh ZRS Chiyanki, Dr. Sushil Prasad Asst. DEE BAU Ranchi, Dr. A. K. SIngh Director SAMETI, Dr. A. K. Singh Head ICAR-RECR Plandu, Dr. K. K. Sharma Director IINR&G Namkum also participated in the meeting. Officers form Line Department Gumla, Lead and marginal farmers from different blocks of the district also participated in the meeting.

In continuation of Agricultural Technology Week (23 January to 1 February 2016) A Workshop was organised at KVK Gumla. The theme of the workshop was Role of Panchayati Raj Members (Bishunpur and Ghaghra Block) in Agricultural Technology Extension. District Planning officer Ahri Arun Kumar Singh was the chief guest of the programme. DDM NABARD, Gumla, Shri Ramprasad Baraik, Pramukh Bishunpur, Smt. Savitri Devi Zila Parishad Member Bishunpur, Shri Mahendra Bhagat, Shri Prawal Ji also participated in the workshop.

13th July 2016 2016 Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gumla , Vikas Bharti Bishunpur organized a One day experience sharing programme especially for agri entrepreneurs who have got training under skill development from KVK in different enterprises. The programme aimed to collect the real information from the participant about their entrepreneurs thorough which they are earning income and succeeding in leading of better livelihood.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra Gumla Vikas Bharti Bishunpur distributed Portable Vermicompost kit in collaboration with District Horticulture Department, Gumla among 51 farmers of 08 villages from Banalat, Bishunpur and MP adopted village.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gumla , Vikas Bharti Bishunpur celebrates the 87th ICAR foundation day on 16th July 2015 at Dr. Bhuneshwar Anuj Uchch Vidyalaya , Ghaghra. The theme of the day was “Soil health and fodder security”

On this auspicious day KVK has taken two initiatives one for organization of soil health assessment camp at panchayat level and distribution of soil health card, Second initiative is for development of Hybrid Napier Fodder Bank in NICRA cluster village. And the initiative was taken by providing 1500 slips of hybrid napier among 350 farm women, men and school children. Two to four slips of Napier was provided among each 155 school children with a planting technique and advise to plant the slip nearby the water/moisture availability. By this way KVK will develop napier in each and every household of five villages namely, Khambhita, Burhu, Belagarha, Jargatoli and Gunia.
