I met Priya ji (Vishnupriya) through one of my supplier’s reference and it was strictly official.
But, after having some frequent interactions, I found that she is one of those strong characters (Real fighter) who really want to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged and poor people, especially women...
I am going to associate with Priya ji’s company named ‘Apsara Training Institute for Skill Development & Management’ for many reasons including the fact that it is a “Kudumbashree” enterprise…
A little bit of light on what is “Kudumbashree” is all about:
It was founded by the Kerala, Government on May 17th 1998 to “improve the living standards of women in rural areas (mainly) and urban areas by setting up micro-credit and productive enterprises”.
It is a part of the ‘Kerala State Poverty Eradication Mission’.
We are very happy that, with this association, OM INDUSTRIES is fulfilling some part of social commitments as well (which we were very keen to do for a long time) along with “Giving Back to Society”.
What is more satisfying is; we can fulfill our buyers’ requirements by producing products like ‘Textile materials’ (Bedsheets, Cotton fiber bags, Floor mats, Handprinted Garments, cushion covers or sheets), ‘Handicrafts’ (Natural fiber-based, normal and Rose Wood-based and Bamboo based products, Coconut shell products) and ‘Medical products’ like PPE Kits, Doctor’s Gown, Disposable and Cotton Bedsheets, hospital Curtains and Ayurveda Face masks.
Priya ji’s company is providing training programs mainly in two categories namely:
a) Cultivation, Craft, Production and Manufacturing sector skills and
b) Service sector enterprises skills
The interesting fact is, ‘Apsara Training Institute for Skill Development & Management is ISO certified 9001:2015, 14001:2015 & 45001:2018 and CE Approved.
They have registered with Crafts Council, UK & Slow Food Foundation / Ark of Taste / Earth Market, Italy
I am looking forward to this new association with great pride, for a wider reach as this will benefit the underprivileged women and could be a reason for the empowerment of more than 3,000 women.
Expecting support from All of you…. 👍🙏😊
