Restarting Spiritual Counseling Program at BBCI.

The Department of Palliative Medicine, BBCI has restarted the Spiritual Counseling Program for patients and caregivers with the help of 'Yoga Temple' on 31st Oct, 2025.

The program 'Aashwas' will be conducted every Friday in Palliative Medicine Unit, BBCI.

This program aims to provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and caregivers through explanations, counselling, self-healing yoga exercises and guided meditations.

This journey of holistic healing and wellness session has been initiated under the aegis of Mr Jiten Nath & Mr Gaurav Goswami of Yoga Temple.

যোৱা ৩১ অক্টোবৰ, ২০২৫ তাৰিখে ‘বিবিচিআইৰ পেলিয়েটিভ মেডিচিন বিভাগে "যোগ মন্দিৰ"ৰ সহায়ত ৰোগী আৰু ৰোগীৰ যত্ন লোৱা আত্মীয়সকলৰ বাবে আধ্যাত্মিক পৰামৰ্শ কাৰ্যসূচী পুনৰাম্ভ কৰে।

প্ৰতি শুকুৰবাৰে বিবিচিআইৰ পেলিয়েটিভ মেডিচিন বিভাগত অনুষ্ঠিত হ’ব এই ‘আশ্বাস’ অনুষ্ঠানটি।

এই কাৰ্যসূচীৰ লক্ষ্য হৈছে ৰোগী তথা ৰোগী পৰিচৰ্যা কৰা পৰিয়ালৰ লোকসকলক আত্ম-নিৰাময়ৰ পৰামৰ্শ, যোগব্যায়াম আৰু ধ্যান-ধাৰণাৰ জৰিয়তে মানসিক আৰু আধ্যাত্মিক ব্যাখ্যা আগবঢ়োৱা।

যোগ মন্দিৰৰ শ্ৰী জিতেন নাথ আৰু শ্ৰী গৌৰৱ গোস্বামীৰ তত্বাৱধানত এই কাৰ্যসূচী আৰম্ভ কৰা হৈছে।

On 25th October 2025, The Department of Palliative Medicine, BBCI celebrated the World Hospice and Palliative Care Day (WHPCD) with a “Public Awareness Program on Palliative care” in a village named Jhargaon, Darrang, that is approximately 65 kms away from the Institute.

“Sanmilita Yuva Mancha, Jhargaon”, a youth club from the locality has hosted the program. The main objective of this program was to appraise the villagers about Palliative care and their role as a volunteer to care for the cancer patients.

The program was started with floral tributes to Assam’s heartthrob, Luit kantha Late Zubeen Garg.

Mrs. Indrani Das, a philanthropist, was also felicitated on that day for her relentless social activities towards cancer patients.

Approximate 80 number of villagers attended the awareness program.

The program was followed by a health camp for the members of the community.

২৫ অক্টোবৰ, ২০২৫ তাৰিখে, BBCI-ৰ পেলিয়েটিভ মেডিচিন বিভাগে "বিশ্ব হস্পিছ আৰু পেলিয়েটিভ কেয়াৰ দিৱস" (WHPCD) উপলক্ষে দৰং জিলাৰ ঝাৰগাঁওত পেলিয়েটিভ কেয়াৰৰ ওপৰত এখনি জনসজাগতামূলক অনুষ্ঠানৰ আয়োজন কৰে।

স্থানীয় ৰাইজৰ সহযোগত সন্মিলিত যুৱ মঞ্চ, ঝাৰগাঁও-এ এই অনুষ্ঠানটোৰ আয়োজন কৰে। ইয়াৰ মূল উদ্দেশ্য আছিল গাঁওবাসীক পেলিয়েটিভ কেয়াৰৰ গুৰুত্ব আৰু কেঞ্চাৰ ৰোগীৰ যত্নৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত স্বেচ্ছাসেৱক হিচাপে তেওঁলোকৰ ভূমিকা সম্পৰ্কে আলোচনা কৰা ।

অনুষ্ঠানটিৰ পোনতেই প্ৰয়াত শিল্পী, লুইতকণ্ঠ, অসমৰ হিয়াৰ আমঠু জুবিন গাৰ্গক শ্ৰদ্ধাঞ্জলি জনোৱা হয়।

এই অনুষ্ঠানতেই, শ্ৰীমতী ইন্দ্ৰাণী দাস বাইদেউক কেঞ্চাৰ ৰোগী সকলৰ বাবে তেওঁৰ অবিৰত সমাজ সেৱাৰ বাবে সন্মানিত কৰা হয়।

এই সচেতনতামূলক কাৰ্যসূচীত প্ৰায় ৮০গৰাকী গাঁওবাসীয়ে অংশগ্ৰহণ কৰে। অনুষ্ঠানৰ অন্তত গাঁওবাসীৰ বাবে স্বাস্থ্য শিবিৰো অনুষ্ঠিত কৰা হয়।

No One Should Suffer Without Support - Universal Access Now

Mrs Marami Basfor (name changed) is lying semi-conscious at her small room in the basement of an apartment in Guwahati. She had previous experiences of horror of being a cancer patient in her work and communities. when she was diagnosed herself as having cancer, she was reluctant to taking any treatment.

The landlord of Mrs Marami is offering helping hand to care for her in the final months of life. They have tried various treatment before contacting us for Palliative Care.

The home care team of BBCI had given a courtesy home visit today without the patient registered in the hospital. The team also offered free medication and empowered the caregivers, landlords and neighbours on Palliative Care on this day of World Hospice & Palliative Care Day 2025.

Communities should take up similar activities for the benefits of such patients.

গুৱাহাটীৰ এটা এপাৰ্টমেণ্টৰ বেছমেণ্টৰ এটা সৰু কোঠাত শ্ৰীমতী মৰমী বাছফৰ (নাম সলনি কৰা হৈছে) দীৰ্ঘদিনৰ পৰা কেন্সাৰ ৰোগত আক্ৰান্ত হৈ আছে। তেখেত বিভিন্ন সময়ত সমাজৰ কেন্সাৰ ৰোগী সকলৰ ভয়ানক অভিজ্ঞতাও সৈতে মুখামুখি হৈছিল। যেতিয়া তেওঁৰ নিজৰ কেন্সাৰ হোৱা বুলি ধৰা পৰিছিল, তেতিয়াৰ পৰাই তেখেতে কোনো চিকিৎসা গ্ৰহণ কৰিবলৈ অনিচ্ছুক আছিল।

শ্ৰীমতী মৰমীৰ ঘৰৰ স্বত্বাধিকাৰীয়ে জীৱনৰ শেষৰ সময়খিনিত তেখেতৰ যত্নৰ লগতে যথেষ্ট সহায়ৰ হাত আগবঢ়াইছে। তেওঁলোকে আমাৰ লগত পেলিয়েটিভ কেয়াৰৰ বাবে যোগাযোগ কৰাৰ আগতেও বিভিন্ন চিকিৎসাৰ চেষ্টা কৰিছিল।

বিশ্ব পেলিয়েটিভ কেয়াৰ দিৱসৰ লগত সংগতি ৰাখি বিবিচিআইৰ হোম কেয়াৰ টিমে আজি এই ৰোগীগৰাকীৰ পৰ্যবেক্ষণ কৰে। আমাৰ দলটোৱে ৰোগীৰ বাবে বিনামূলীয়া ঔষধ প্ৰদান কৰাৰ লগতে যত্ন লোৱা লোকসকলক তথা ওচৰ-চুবুৰীয়াক পেলিয়েটিভ কেয়াৰ বিষয়ে অৱগত কৰে।

আমি অনুৰোধ জনাইছোঁ যে অন্য সামাজিক গোট সমূহেও এনে ৰোগীৰ সুবিধাৰ বাবে একেধৰণৰ কাম-কাজ গ্ৰহণ কৰিব লাগে।

The July,'25 Batch of IAPC's Foundation Course in Essentials of Palliative Care (previously known as Certificate Course in Essentials of Palliative Care) has been completed successfully today. This was the 11th batch that appeared from BBCI Palliative Care.

আইএপিচি চাৰ্টিফিকেট পাঠ্যক্ৰম - FCEPC (পূৰ্বতে CCEPC হিচাপে পৰিচিত) জুলাই ২০২৫ বৰ্ষৰ পৰীক্ষা আজি সফলতাৰে সম্পন্ন হয়। বিবিচিআই পেলিয়েটিভ কেয়াৰৰ পৰা অৱতীৰ্ণ হোৱা এইয়া আছিল ১১ সংখ্যক বেটছ্ ।

*Celebration of Nutrition month*

The Department of Palliative Medicine, BBCI organizes weekly Caregivers training programs for patient's caregivers. In commemoration of "Nutrition month", the department celebrated the day with patient Caregivers and Ms. Dimi Ingtipi, Clinical Dietician, BBCI has shared valuable insights on healthy eating during the training session.

This initiative aims to empower caregivers with essential knowledge on proper nutrition for their patients.

We appreciate Ms. Ingtipi's valuable contribution and look forward to continuing our efforts in promoting health and wellness.

Mr. Janardan Pakhare from Cipla Foundation, Mumbai visited the Department of Palliative Medicine, BBCI last week.
The BBCI team has discussed various matters regarding patient care and data entry with him. He joined our home care team for home visits of patients and met with our institutional leadership to discuss collaborative opportunities.

This visit is also a great opportunity to strengthen our partnerships and enhance our services.
