On the use of mask in covid 19 pandemic -

It is my observation that - people don't wear their masks properly.
You must have seen that many people wear mask below the nose! - this is wrong.
Mask should be pulled over the mouth & nose as well.
Many patients have the habit of un-necessary touching their mask to re-position it, that should be avoided.
Many people wear the same old cloth mask for days together even when it looks dirty from the outside after the use of few days!
The surgical mask & N95 masks & few other good quality cloth mask has a clip at the upper side - which one can make fit over the bridge of nose, once the mask is on the place, it doesn't move below the nose while speaking.
It is always better to wear 2 masks - one, the surgical mask & over that, regular cloth mask.
Surgical mask must be discarded after 6 hours of use & the cloth mask should be washed daily in soap water & dried before the next use.
There are good videos on youtube about how to wear the mask properly.

A case of post covid anxiety disorder -

A 41 year old lady, a lecturer at Engineering College.
In the month of July 2020, her entire family had covid, but only her mother in law had to be admitted because of obesity, diabetes & hypertension & she was discharged after 10 days.
But even after all the family members became alright, after reading newspapers & watching news on Tv - she was unable to relax, had constant thoughts about covid & it's severity, how many deaths, get fear to step out of home.

She got intense fear that - what if she or any of her family members get covid again as somebody has told her that if a person gets covid 2nd time, it can be severe!
She started getting minor aches & pains in the body, couldn't concentrate in what she is doing, lost her appetite, disturbed sleep, constant negative thoughts which she couldn't get rid of.

So she went to a psychiatrist & was under his medication for sometime & with that, she was feeling better for sometime.

But recently, in the early days of February 2021, as covid cases started increasing, she again became tense, again with loss of sleep, vague complaints & pains, unable to relax & in that, her in-laws which were staying with her for 2 years decided to move to their native place in M.P.
According to her, why the in-laws suddenly decided this, now who will look after my kids, as she has to attend college & her husband being in an IT, has to work from home means he is also unable to attend to children, now only she will have to manage everything at home as well as in the college & in that, she have not received her salaries since last 6 months due to lockdown last year, again constant negative thoughts started coming - what will happen to us? Also people not taking care of themselves, not wearing a mask, not following social distancing etc etc.

This time, even with psychiatric treatment, she didn't feel good & she came to me.

She c/o - tingling, numbness & bubbling sensation in her arms & legs, pain in left arm at night only when she goes to bed, unable to relax, feels worries - how she will handle home & college, don't get sleep at all, just lying down in the bed all the night, how will i cope with the situation, now vaccination has started but we can't get it just now, why government is doing this, why don't they start Vaccination drive for all, constant thoughts in my mind, even when i am doing Pranayam, meditation.
How come we got the covid in spite of we taking good care of ourselves from the beginning, i used to do yoga, Pranayam, meditation regularly, used to drink काढा, take steam regularly still how we got covid? & still there is no medicine for it?
Even they say, vaccines trials are not done completely & i listened that few people died within few hours after taking vaccine, I fear a lot. What will happen?

I am getting all kinds of thoughts constantly & I am unable to relax at all.
I get so much thoughts that i get tired of it but my thoughts just don't stop!

Doctor, please give me good medicine so that, i will get good sleep & my arm & leg pains will stop completely & that bubbling sensation in my legs should go away, I don't know why this is happening? Psychiatrist told me to neglect the pain but how can one neglect it because all my attention goes to it, I can't relax.

After 2 weeks of Homoeopathic medicine 4 times a day she came for follow up & she looked fresh for the first time & asking her how she is - she said, thanks a lot doctor, within a week after starting this medicine, i could sleep at least 6 hours at stretch & felt fresh in the morning after getting up. Now, all my pains in arms & legs & that bubbling has almost gone completely.
My negative thoughts had reduced drastically but not completely, but now i easily can leave those thoughts behind & continue my work. I am still regularly doing my yoga & Pranayam.
Now i am thinking to resign my job as anyways, the college has not given our salary for almost last 6 months & now i have decided to look after my kids, their studies etc.
I continued the same Homoeopathic medicine 4 times a day for another 2 weeks.
Now, this is April month & she is still doing good, no complaints at all.
