Cancer doesn’t arrive overnight. It grows quietly, often without warning.

Awareness helps us listen to our bodies sooner, ask the right questions, and choose timely screening.

Because when cancer is detected early, treatment has a better chance, and life gets that chance too.

As a doctor, I see how lack of basic menstrual facilities directly affects a girl’s health.

Access to clean sanitary products, proper toilets, water, and disposal systems plays a critical role in preventing infections, maintaining intimate hygiene, and protecting long-term reproductive health.

When menstruation is managed in unhygienic conditions, it increases the risk of urinary tract infections, skin issues, and reproductive tract infections, many of which are completely preventable with simple, timely interventions.

Equally important, normalising menstrual care through such facilities helps reduce stigma, fear, and misinformation. When girls are supported with the right resources, menstruation becomes what it should be, a normal physiological process, not a source of anxiety or silence.

These basic provisions may seem small, but they create a profound impact on health, dignity, and awareness.

Recognising menstrual health as a right is a meaningful step toward preventive healthcare and respectful care for every girl.

Strengthening maternal safety begins with preparedness and practice.

It was a privilege to lead a focused Postpartum Hemorrhage workshop that emphasized early diagnosis, prevention, and evidence-based management through hands-on learning.

Collaborations like these are essential to translating knowledge into timely action, because every step taken in training directly impacts outcomes in real life.

Grateful to the CARE Vatsalya team for the shared commitment to advancing maternal care.

Breast cancer cases are rising among urban women, and genetics alone don’t explain why.

In this article, I share what I see every day in clinical practice: how lifestyle patterns, reduced physical activity, delayed childbearing, environmental exposure, chronic stress, and poor sleep quietly shape long-term breast health.

Most risk factors don’t appear overnight. They build slowly, often without symptoms. That’s why awareness, preventive habits, and regular screening matter, even when you feel perfectly well.

Early detection saves lives. Informed choices protect them.

Pelvic pain isn’t “normal,” especially in young women, and it’s time we spoke about why.

In my recent article published in Deccan Herald, I’ve shared what I’m increasingly seeing in my clinic: Gen Z women experiencing pelvic discomfort driven by lifestyle stress, posture, anxiety, and constant physical tension, often without any visible findings on scans.

Pelvic health is deeply connected to how we live, move, breathe, and cope. Awareness is the first step toward healing, and conversations like these matter more than ever.

Grateful to Deccan Herald for giving space to an issue that deserves attention, understanding, and timely care.

I’ve noticed a growing number of young women experiencing early signs of pelvic floor strain, even those who are fit and consistent with high-intensity workouts.

Your pelvic health matters just as much as your strength gains, and with the right form, breathing techniques, and recovery strategies, you can protect your pelvic floor without giving up the workouts you love.

Learn how to balance intensity with pelvic support in my latest article. 👇

Puberty isn’t just about visible changes. It’s a powerful hormonal phase that influences both mental and physical health.

The adrenal glands play a crucial role during this time, affecting stress response, mood, energy levels, and overall well-being.

When we understand what’s happening inside the body, health feels less confusing and transitions become healthier and more confident.

Awareness is the first step toward balance.
