The biggest mistake women make when trying to lose weight!🤦‍♀️

The minute women think of losing weight and looking their best versions for the New Years, gyms are where they will run into!🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♀️ Quite literally🤗

I have seen many people who are working out for hours in the gym, even running marathons and not giving attention to their diet and then not losing weight! Then they jump to the conclusion that they just can’t lose weight.... “the world is an unfair place”... the “why is this happening to me “downward spiral sets in.

Now surely exercising is important and everyone should do it but what I would like to emphasise is that working out alone cannot be helpful in weight loss. In order to lose weight we MUST take care of our diet first.

So you might be working out hard and snacking harder😅. No exaggeration. I have seen people post marathons walking straight into bakeries🤔

So ladies.... ladies.... the truth of the matter is that all the exercise in the world won’t help you lose weight if your nutrition is out of order.

Educate yourself about the power of food. YOU are what you eat. In weight loss, it is 80% your diet and 20% activity along with other factors. So you need to be handheld through this journey once you have made up your firm resolve.

With expert guidance you will be setting yourself up for success! It’s like getting the right coach to help you hit the sixes!🤗

Most importantly you need to have fun and stay positive. Coz you live life once and every day matters! You need to learn to “enjoy” everyday living!!

# Understand your “why”

# Define your goal:
It is important to plan realistic goals so you do not set yourself up for failure. Being realistic means you need to know how much weight loss is good for you. Our bodies are different and so are our lives. It may not be prudent to adopt someone else’s goal for yourself even if your two of you’ll pursuing weight loss together.

# Create a plan
This is something you need to do keeping in mind your constraints so that your plan becomes “doable”.

# Be positive : Positive thoughts lead to positive outcomes. Self affirming positive statements will help you do your best. Try and identify what makes you feel low and are there specific times that make you want to give up.

# Make a Priority Chart: Your plan must clearly define your priorities and in that you need to ensure your health goal is not at the bottom of your list.😊

# Celebrate your success
No matter how small or big, it is important to take someone to savour your success!

# Have Faith
There is nothing that has been possible without faith. Even your plans for the next day are possible due to your faith🤔

Believe in your Maker and in what your Maker has made ie You! ... and in all that you are ordained to do for the good of others!

How to Stay Motivated During Your Weight Loss Journey?

You may have tried and tested many methods and ways to reach your goal and not become complacent. But sometimes it can seem like an uphill task.
The first and foremost would be to take at least half an hour time daily to meditate. This would help you calm down, reflect, ponder and align your thoughts.

After that you may take a pen and paper and note down the following aspects:

1. Understand your "why" - For you to be able to stick to your course, it is essential to learn why you want to embrace a healthy lifestyle change? Is it to be more active? Keep diseases at bay? Be slim? or just be a better version of yourself. It is necessary to be completely honest with yourself.

2. Define your goal: It is important to plan realistic goals so you do not set yourself up for failure. With realistic you need to know how much weight loss is good for you. Our bodies are different and so are our lives. It may not be prudent to adopt someone else's goal for you.

3. Create a plan: This is something you need to do keeping in mind your constraints so that your plan becomes "doable." It is highly advisable to write down your plan right adjacent to your goal. Writing somehow brings about a greater clarity for you.

4. Be Positive: Positive thoughts lead to positive actions. Self affirming positive statements will help you do your best. Try and identify what makes you feel low and are there specific times you want to give up.

5. Make a Priority Chart: Your plan must clearly define your priorities and in that you need to ensure your health goal is not at the bottom of your list.

6. Celebrate your success: No matter how small or big, it is important to take sometime to savour your success! Remember, however small the progress is it is still a progress.

7. Have Faith: There is nothing that has been possible without faith. Believe in your maker, in what your maker has made and in all that you are ordained to do for the good of the others.
