The University Institute of Pharmacy (UIP) is a constituent unit of residential wing of the C.S.J.M. University (erstwhile, Kanpur University), Kanpur established in 1966 through an act enacted by legislative council of Uttar Pradesh. It is located in one of the biggest industrial metropolis of U.P. The University is recognized as most high-tech University of the state by adopting online examination application and enrollment first time. The university is geared to provide maximum scholastic benefit to each individual student. The Institute was established during the August 2004; build up in an area of 5075 Sq. The UIP is approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, since its inception. Well qualified and experienced teachers have been appointed to train the students for the best of the pharmacy profession, with the help of well equipped sophisticated pharmaceutical laboratories. Research activities and publications in various national and international reputed journals are in the process within the department in various fields. UIP in its journey of about a decade, adopted a holistic approach of developing students with an eye on changing educational & career prospects and contemporary demands of global market. The institute is promulgating its thumping presence for creation of ethical awareness about pharmaceutical technology, & health care systems and services to the society & enhancement of quality of life by imparting value added knowledge and public awareness.
